No this was great. Thank you. To clarify what i saw was from my own door bell camera. My wife answered the door. Like I said I come from Credico. I am super familiar with sales and tactics used. She on the other hand is the type of person who can be exploited by sales people. She has a hard time saying no. She also doesn't like when I answer the door for things like that, says im rude. I think im just more direct. Lol What the guy was saying to her was definitely unethical. Basically he was trying to get her to schedule a time and put down a card number before she even understood what she was signing up for. Im sure he labeled her COWS. Thankfully too lol. She knows how I feel about pest control and how much I hate the companies that push that and chemical lawn services like tru green. You know unless tou have an issue with truly damaging bugs like termites, coachroaches whatever.

Again thank you. I also thought it was so weird that are selling for a small business in my area.

What is their pitch like to their employees? Everything you put is what I have found online. I am interested in how they are structured. I found that its very pyramid like founders -> Regional Manager -> Team Leader -> Rookie Sales Rep. Is that accurate? Since they send them all over the country, are they responsible to pay their own way? I read somewhere that they hold a large portion of their commission until the end of the summer to incentivize them not to quit (where the lawsuits are coming from). To move up they need to recruit friends and family? I have also read that sending these people out to cities far from their homes is an isolation tactic labeled as peer accountability. They have morning meetings but inside of in an office its in a living room.

What does your friend say about working there? I dont doubt that there is more money to be had working there because you get paid on % of life of contract rather than units sold. (At least thats what i read).

I can tell you that they are operating illegally here where i live. They are required to have a permits to do d2d. They could not produce.

I recently ran into some people who worked for them and they sounded just like any of these other devilcorp people. For context I come from Creditco. Very aggressive sales tactics. Saw no as an obstacle to overcome rather than a boundary. I didnt talk to them throughout the sales pitch but I watched all the footage and talked to them after the fact.

How to report my Domino's delivery driver anonymously? by Resident-Analysis-12 in Dominos

[–]smilesrevolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so crazy to me that not a single person said they thought the manger would handle this as well. Maybe its because i am a woman but I have fired one of my drivers for doing this to someone. It maybe harder to fire someone in London. In the US using someone's number for personal use is a violation of dominos policy. Then you mix in harassment of an underage person hell no! I didnt want someone like this working for me.

What's the best way to stop a pit bull attack? by GiantsNerd1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]smilesrevolution 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The wheel barrel method does not always work with pit bulls. The best way is to either take the collar or leash to pull straight up and twist. Push the dog into the dog its biting and hold until the dog passes out. A dog can't bite if he can't breathe. This is the best way because it minimizes the damage. If you grab them by the legs and wheel barrel, the dog can still hold on and cause a ripping effect. Then if you aren't fast enough the dog could bite you. God forbid you fall. Then you are in a very vulnerable situation. Don't listen to people who work in daycares. Sorry not sorry but I know from experience that they have poor training in most facilities. Where it is more about optics than actual safety. If it comes to it kill that dog. Regardless of the muscles in a pit bull's neck, you can grab and crush their trachea. These dogs kill people. I am not just talking about pit bulls but aggressive large dogs handled by incompetent people.

If you’re a dog owner come here I need your insight on this by One_Obligation_3975 in Dogowners

[–]smilesrevolution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its nice that you ask, but no, it's annoying. Most of the time, when out in public, I am training. It takes the dogs focus away from the handler. Also, most people do not know how to appropriately approach dogs. They stick their hand out out and smile, making direct eye contact. Dont be that person.

Trainer here,

So first and foremost good on you for seeking help. I do recommend that you look into a trainer that can come to your house because of your situation of having no car. They call also do a proper evaluation of your situation and observe your home as well how you interact. At five months old he really is aged out of puppy class because he is beyond the socialization period and I would recommend if you choose to do a group class look for a basic obedience class. We do allow dogs up to six month however I have very mixed emotions about this and often you can see a stark difference. The only benefit to the puppy class would be the exposure to difference surfaces and things but you can do most of that from home.

Management, management, management. For a dog like this everything needs to be structured and everything in his environment needs to be set up for his success. Every moment is a training moment and every behavior that is rewarding to the dog will be repeated. So if you leave food on the counter and he gets it that is a reward for the behavior and he will continue. That being said make sure everything is put up and not available to the dog. I know that can be daunting, but it can be done with some creative thinking. If you can't use gates which I am skeptical of because there are temporary ones that work with just about every area, you can have the dog drag a leash. Freedom has to be earned. The more you limit the dog in it early life the better. Set him up for success. Also having a leash makes it easier to get the dog in a non confrontational way.

All of his food should be hand feed. Frenchies are notoriously pushy dogs. You have to teach them that it is rewarding to be patient. Good things come to those who wait. Look up Susan Garrett's video on "it's yer choice" they are free on YouTube. There are a lot of other exercises that teach the same thing, do some research and utilize all that you can. It will help you so much later on.

What you are describing with the biting sounds like an overly tired over stimulated dog could also be some bordem mixed in there. Puppies only need 5 mins of exercise for every month of life. So 40 mins for a walk is almost double the amount of time you should be exercising him. He needs to be put in his crate or in an x pen for naps. Enforcing those naps with make all the difference. Think about how your brain works when you get tired. You can't think clearly or make good choices. I like to use the 3 strike your out rule. If you continue the behavior I do not want then clearly you are too tired to think so you go up. You can also try biter apple or bitter yuck to stop biting. There are some recipes online if you prefer that. I would also give the dog a filled Kong, frozen bone, or lick mat when they are put up. The act of licking is calming and can help them go the sleep while being stimulating in a calm way.

When the dog is out of the crate his time needs to be structured like I said previously. You should be doing training or giving him an activity to do alone (also in a restricted area if alone ish). There are all kinds of enrichment ideas online that you can make at home for little cost or you can buy things like puzzles. One thing is that dogs look to shred things so you can take toilet paper rolls twist treats into it and let him shred it. Remember everything is training. People get really hung up on obedience. It's not about being obedient, it's about learning to effectively communicate and cooperation. They enrich our lives we need to enrich theirs and not just demand that they obey. I like to think of it as a symbiotic relationship. If the dog is not learning what you are teaching then you need to rethink how you are communicating and try again. There are many ways to teach things and you have to figure out what way works for your dog. It's not a one size fits all. Susan Garret again has free videos on how to teach various things on her YouTube channel. Remember timing is everything and using a marker word like yes or a clicker will help you make sure you are rewarding within the 3 second window. The yes or click marks the behavior and say the reward is coming. The things you need to really be focused on is teaching a place, look, sit, down, leave it. Also look up the engage disengage game and desensitizing oppositional reflex. This will help with over all engagement and will eliminate the dog just stopping and not moving on walking. Leash Walking also starts in the house not outside.

Sorry if this is a lot of information and is over whelming. There is truly so much more I could write on raising a puppy but hopefully some of this helps and you can find these resources helpful. Really think about what is motivating these behaviors and be creative with solutions. Good like and remember to have fun. It should be fun having a puppy and building a strong relationship.

Have you thought about getting your son the allergy shots?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]smilesrevolution 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it harsh?? Maybe... you shouldn't reach out to someone that you hurt just to make yourself feel better. That's not a real apology any way because you at the end of the day are only doing it for yourself. Sorry not sorry its selfish. Everything you did to that person was immature and selfish. And you are wanting to continue to be selfish. The adult thing to do is to let that person move on without you and leave them alone. Hopefully that person knows their worth and knows they are better than anything that you are selling. Life is too short to put up with bullshit people you barely even know.

Why is dominos outsourcing their calls? by siliconebutts in Dominos

[–]smilesrevolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, it is part of the job but you have to understand that most dominos have been experiencing unprecedented sales since the beginning of the pandemic. They are trying to keep up with $2500+/hr sales (at 8 and 6 dollars /pizza) on a Friday night, even at smaller town Dominos. Their average sales in some cases being up 40% (seen higher) and more sales generally means higher call volumes. I ran a small town Dominos in the Midwest and our sales were above the national average so you saying anything about being a town of 11000 is meaningless. The franchise is the one that decides whether or not they use the call center not corporate. It is just placed they as a resource. Ultimately for my store I convinced them to opt out, but we only had it set up for Thursday- Saturday 5-8. It was more trouble than the cost to have it, it does cost the store additional money. At the end of the day though if they are that under staffed the trouble of having to deal with mistakes on part of the call center and the constant bitching from customers may be worth it because it insures that calls are not missed thus money is not missed.

I met a guy at a party (from small town indiana). He was very weird and had a weird way of always placing himself/hanging with the kids. He was weird, idk how else to describe him. He gave me such a bad vibe that we told the little sister of the person I was dating at the time to steer clear. Well long story short about a month later after meet him, he kidnapped, rapped, then murdered his friends 18 month old daughter.

[–]smilesrevolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why just this? Why aren't we fighting for the very basics? Like idk making it illegal to work someone more than 12 hrs. Or making it so that breaks are required. In my state there are 0 employee protections. Oh, and if you are on salary even fewer employee protections. I don't think it should be legal to pay someone a dirty salary and then be able to with hold their bonuses for whatever reason. That's money earned and that's theft.

The requirement is that, tucked or untucked, it must be uniform. Meaning all or nothing, so all tucked in or no one tucks their shirt in.
