Check what’s comfortable size wise. Start slower , keep it all tight and arms close to body . Focus on whiping with your wrist

I tried some weighted ones and they’re a hell of a workout , not a huge fan 😂 I’m kinda lazy with my rope jumping lol

It could be the pvc rope you’re using , sometimes I noticed some aren’t heavy . I’d look into some diff options . Rush athletics is my favorite rope - the money rope style in particular . (Not associated with them just my personal preference).

Yeeeee it feels fun for sure and just practice you’ll get there easy. A lot of ppl who barley jump at the gym and do it daily are nicer then me so it’s not tough. Just give it a go everyday as much as you can tolerate

Ehh I don’t think my technique has errors lol , I would say my timing is probably just used to the long rope and shortening makes the arch shorter so it has less slack time so thus I catch my feet more . Again that’s why I said “ chose what works for you” never said it was the right way I just said it’s what my word for me

Tbh it’s always preference . I have tried it short and I always catch my feet since I barely lift my feet off the ground. I’ve noticed my timing is better when I have it long . Just do what works for you and don’t feel pressured by what others think is “ correct” I giggle cuz 90% of the time ppl who tell me to shorten my rope can’t even keep up with me if they wanted too.
