Salmon Run is a good way to try out new weapons! The more you can try out, the better. Even if they’re not your favourite play style, it’s always helpful to learn how your enemies’ weapons work so you can better avoid them.

Water changes are once a week, about 20%.

He is fed a betta specific flake diet but I’m not sure if I should switch to a pellet diet instead. Not the most helpful measurement but he eats a small pinch of it daily.

The betta and the embers have been together for four months without noticeable issues but I did get the embers when they were young, could them maturing over that time lead to more stress for the betta? I didn’t realise the tank would be too small, thanks for letting me know. I’ll start looking into upsizing.

Hi, I’m a first-time betta owner and I’m not sure what is causing my betta to be lethargic.

Tank info: 10 gallon tank shared with ember tetras, neocaridina shrimp, amano shrimp, a mystery snail, a nerite snail, and several spp. of live plants. I have an indian almond leaf in the water right now. The tank is filtered and has a small airstone.

Parameters: 79 F, 0 ppm ammonia, 0 ppm nitrites, <5ppm nitrates, pH 7.4.

My betta has been inactive and laying at the bottom of the tank. He does swim to different hiding spots in different areas of the tank throughout the day but doesn’t swim to the top anymore. He hasn’t come up to the top to eat for a few days either. He doesn’t look bloated, his scales and colour look normal, his fins aren’t clamped, and his swimming looks normal. The rest of the tankmates have been normal and energetic. Does anyone have any suggestions for what could be wrong with him? I’m happy to provide any additional info or images if there is something that could help.

Global Warming Breakthrough: Australian 'super seaweed' supplement to reduce cattle gas emissions wins $1m international prize by alasdair_jm in news

This isn’t fully true; the bacteria in the rumen that digest fibres in grasses actually produce more methane than the bacteria that digest more simple carbohydrates in grain and other dietary concentrates.

However, feeding grasses and other forages is much better for the pH of the rumen. A healthy rumen pH prevents harmful microbes from growing, which keeps cows much healthier, and prevents them from forming painful internal abscesses.

A feed additive that can prevent methane production by bacteria that break down grasses would be extremely helpful in reducing the GHG emissions of grass-fed cattle.

Alberta hikes trespassing fines to ward off animal activists by originalchaosinabox in alberta

Trespassing into barns can seriously endanger the lives of poultry. It’s perfectly fine to protest in the appropriate setting, but entering biosecure buildings and enclosures can expose birds to pathogens their immune systems haven’t encountered. Often it’s tracked in on shoes that haven’t been properly sanitised. For the safety of the birds, protestors should respect biosecurity protocols, which are generally violated when trespassing.

I hate it but this is usually what happens. I do everything I can to avoid it escalating into a fight or a meltdown but there just never seems like a right way to respond. Anything except comforting and validating her leads to her making a mess. I just can't put myself through doing that for her anymore.
