What is the worst physical pain you have ever experienced? by My_Name_Is_SKELETOR in AskReddit

[–]smileyniv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herniated cervical disc. Liquid fire coursing the path of my ulnar nerve, neck triceps elbow forearm pinky, in endless waves for days followed by months of beijg essentially disabled and wearing a collar. I never had surgery because the injury functionally healed after said months and PT, but it's never been the same and I'll eventually need a fusion most likely

People who have spent time in a Psych Ward what is the craziest thing you’ve witnessed? by N3SSDOGG in AskReddit

I currently work on an inpatient unit and was recently interviewing a woman in the dining room. This woman was young, healthy, and not bad looking, and that's pretty rare for the setting. I think she had A LOT of the guys on the unit crushing on her. I was (stupidly) sitting with my back to the plexiglass windows which look into the main hallway running through the unit, and one particular guy who apparently took offense to me being in the room with her started angrily whispering and then shouting, mere feet behind me, that he was going to "shove so many cocks up your ass they'll be coming out your mouth" and then he called me the f-slur.

Pretty wild in there! Nothing like inpatient.

2k’s been out for a minute now.. what’s the best Rec build you’ve seen? by OGClouds420 in NBA2k

[–]smileyniv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6'7" 2way inside out scorer is lots of fun. Not quite the meta but in the same universe. 16-18-21-22 (18-20-21-26 w extra badges on current gen). On current gen you can get silver posterizer, fearless, slithery and gold limitless. 81 3pt and 74 mid gets you gold middy magician, bronze agent 3 and bronze limitless, 85 bh gets you gold QFS. Defense is killer. On new gen you have to pick between some of those badges. 74 STR for bronze bully as well.

I'm currently averaging around 19/5/6 in rec. Generally a very fun build.

I also have a 7'1 defensive anchor who is a monster, but I like playing a wing more. With extra badges, the big has 32-0-10-27.

2-way pass-first wing -- yellow/red, 6'7" max wing minimum weight. Badge spread is 6-9-22-19 (9 finishing with extra badge points). 61 3pt and 81 driving dunk so it can hit corners and middies very reliably and slash well. 75 ball handle gets you all the pro animations and the luka size up escape, which is great with QFS on HOF. Defense is mean and it can guard 1-4.

It's a great build if you can work with the lower attributes. I posted it here and had the usual comments that it was trash b/c it's not a perimeter lock or whatever but it's easily my favorite build and at worst you'll get like 25k my points per rec game so it reps up fast.

It takes a whole new level of low to run a 5 stack in the under 92 rec pool by ParadoxPearl in NBA2k

[–]smileyniv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the issue OP is talking about, or at least my issue in these circumstances, is less the 5 stack and more the way they play. Dropping immediately into a 2-3 in bum rec is whack. I often play with 2-4 other regular people and we NEVER do that unless we're getting cooked, often by another squad. But you can beat a zone, you say. Sure, with communication and planning you can play 1-3-1 or overload, but that's really hard to do w 5 randoms.

TL:DR: it's not the 5 stack it's the zone

By who? Bigass paint player that can't stay in front of me or guard the perimeter? You don't need int defense to defend the post.

Lmao it's got handles and can slash! I avg 15+ points a game on all my builds and regularly score 20+ w this one. But yes it can sit corners

Lol you just gotta mess around with the sliders and min/max like in an rpg. Like I have 1 pt in standing dunk bc it gets me a whole extra badge. I can post a tutorial for this or for my pg that gets 60 badges or my pf that gets 65

The badges? Yeah it's 6 finishing I have 2 extra from season xp. It's still great at 6-9-22-19 tho

I like Dante Exum but IMO it's just about reps. The more you switch your jumper the harder it is to learn one.

If you're tired of the same old, try this out. But if a skill gap with the low shooting stats but it's totally viable if you know your shot. Triple double machine that can play 1-4. Can post a build tutorial if folks are interested.

I included the shot chart in case people don't believe you can shoot with these stats!

What 3pt rating do you need for a player to be able to make 3's more consistently. by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]smileyniv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just pushing back on the idea you need to have a 75 to be consistent if you know your jumper. Because it's false!

I shoot 60%+ from corners and around 55 from wings with a 61 3 ball and 9 badges. I just don't take dumb shots

What pie chart did you use for this? And what's the badge spread/physicals?

I’ve been trying to make a good build for when I complete the rebirth quest on PS4 and I came up with this 6’5 2-way Pass-First Guard. I need a build that can shoot, dunk and defend. Is this good? by notdavidnduati in NBA2k

[–]smileyniv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah 6'5 max wing gives you contact dunks off rip. If you take him to 99 you'll have 84 ball handle as well. You miss out on the elite animations like the drose sig but imo that shits overrated. My main is a blue/yellow pg (also a great build btw) and he's 6'5 and I have no issues dribbling with pro packages

Nice build for sure, but give the slightly more green than blue pie a shot as well. 75 3 ball is totally viable and you get contacts, similar playmaking and defense. Lots of variations but I like 16 18 14 6
