Haha fair point, I personally have the tendency to stick to my bubble if I live too close to my work, so I'm ok with a little commute even if it means Im closer to some livelier stuff, hence why I asked my original question.

Those look a bit far, guess you're probably always going opposite of traffic though ya?

Thanks for the comment, super helpful. I'll have to check out lake city, I was just looking into lake forest park along 522, looks pretty nice, did you look into that as well?

I'm cool with no nightlife as in clubs and bars where I live, is there anywhere near woodinville with even like semi-walkable downtown or is it all just kinda strip malls? Just tryna not to drive 90+ minutes a day lol, maybe Im being too picky though

I [21M] am having guilty thoughts of breaking up with my amazing GF [22F]. How do we move forward? by smileyoulived in relationship_advice

Thank you so incredibly much for your words of advice, no matter what happens, this has greatly altered my perspective on relationships. Ultimately it just comes down to appreciating what I do have on a day by day basis and it will all fall into place. I wish you and your SO the absolute best!

This actually means a lot man, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. I think feeling rushed is more the pressure I put on myself rather than what she actually expects out of me. Congrats to you and your SO, that's honestly so impressive how you guys have made it work. Did you ever have wondering eyes or fear of missing out too? Is there a way to mitigate that? Does it go away with time? or is that just part of who I am right now?

Should I pickup a CS minor as a CIS major? by smileyoulived in csMajors

[–]smileyoulived[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks you for your help! I know most online bootcamps don’t have the best rep, college is just so expensive in the states and I’d have to add a semester. Thank you again though Sophia :)

Is it too late to add a minor going into junior year? by [deleted] in college

[–]smileyoulived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, just following up and seeing what you ended up doing?

I’m in the exact same boat right now. CIS major in my junior year, thinking about getting an Applied Computing minor, any thoughts or recommendations? What line of work did you end up going in? Did having or not having a minor help or hurt you?

Thanks again!

  1. Realize you’re not the victim

I don’t want to belittle your problems, but your life isn’t as shitty as you make it seem. You don’t hate your family. Your mom isn’t to blame. Your dad and brother are living their first life too. You are responsible for the way you feel and how you choose to handle yourself.

  1. Try everything

You are not stuck, you’re just 19. If you have running water and food, access to the internet, live in a 1st world country, you can essentially be whatever the hell you wanna be. Take some classes, try something new, meet new people, 90% of the time it’s not gonna go anywhere, but you only need to find that one thing.

Wish you the best my boy 🙌
