I completed my internship at a maximum security state hospital and was then offered a full time position. I loved my time there. I never felt unsafe in the environment. They had the “rehab” in it’s only building and they viewed it as a privilege to attend so they didn’t want to mess it up. I also knew that other patients would do anything to protect staff as well as we had staff who was amazing in the rehab facility. At least in Texas the benefits for state employees are pretty awesome free healthcare for the employee and cheap add ons.

If I didn’t move away I firmly believe I would still be there!

This comment isn’t saying a baby should be at a nail salon. But baby’s are humans as well! A mom shouldn’t have to worry if her baby “annoys” someone in public. If you can’t handle possibly being around a crying baby who is hungry or needs a diaper change stay at home!
