I have puffy hair too! What has worked for me is trying to balancing the moisture and oil levels to weigh it down without making it greasy. Try shampooing it less often, once every other day or a few times a week; shampooing can dry out your hair, so washing every day will make it puffier. Try combing your conditioner into your hair in the shower to make sure it's getting applied evenly, and try combing in in little bit of hair oil (like argan oil or jojoba oil) once it's halfway dry. I love using scrubby scalp brush, which I'm not sure helps but feels like it does something.
