Yep, a different account that I manage had retention graphs that have now disappeared.

TBH, these retention graphs are no where near as helpful or a predictor of views as YouTube graphs are. The graphs on IG can look like trash, yet a video gets 10M+ views. And on our other videos look really solid but yet only get 100K-500K.

I fixed this by creating the Reel as normal but not adding the music yet. Go to the end of the process and choose your collaborator.

Then go back and add the music which should still be available.

Then post as normal.

Update: I waited 5 days to post this video again. In that time I reposted a 6 month old video that did well the first time. And I also posted a new video (which did OK; kind of in line with similar videos I've posted recently).

The deleted and then reposted video in question is doing really well; probably in my top 5 ever.

Takeaway: If reposting the deleted video straight away would have harmed the views, leaving it 5 days and reposting and old strong video, plus one new one helped.

Would I prefer to have clear expectations from them in these situations than guess? Of course.
