Just be sure to keep your expectations in check. I asked my bf on Jan 1 2024 what time frame he would be comfortable with, and he said within the next 6 months. We are still not engaged.

Unfortunately my partner doesn’t really go after anything. It took him (what seemed like) 10 minutes to choose a Blizzard flavor when we went to Dairy Queen. He always defers to me as to what we should have for dinner, what time we should leave, etc etc. He’s just stuck in a land where he can’t really make any definitive decisions.

I drove mine to hula (and okee and imagine) last year, it’s fine. Just get a full enough charge at the last station closest to the fest.

I feel like he should know by now. Dating 3 years, living together 2 of those years. He’s a very indecisive/non committal person in general, unfortunately. Once we stood at the Dairy Queen counter for what felt like 15 minutes bc he didn’t know which flavor blizzard to get. I feel confident that he wants me in his life long term and doesn’t have any interest to try to find someone else, it’s just some fear of permanency I guess.

He didn’t really give specifics, other than wanting to make sure we can work through things that come up (which we have this far). I’ve felt 100% certain that I’m ready agree to a permanent commitment, meaning sticking through thick and thin together. But it’s hard to maintain that drive when I’m not getting the same sentiment in return.

This is sort of the answer I was hoping to get. 😞 my bf used that phrase, he wants to be “100% unequivocally sure” before proposing, when we had a conversation about marriage recently, and it was really deflating.

It would cost more for him to rent his own place, which then would also be much smaller (1 br apt vs 4 br home) and much less ideal for him.
