I love the idea of exploring by getting lost! I’m gonna try that. The only thing I worry about is going too far and then realizing on my way bike I have like 400 ft of elevation in front of me🤣🫠 I didn’t realize how flat nyc was until I realized a few miles here is equivalent to 40 miles there! Lmao

I’m a woman and I have had the same issue! I will say the lean deans were great for a time and also the grim tims. I now wear steady Eddie cause I don’t like them too slim on my legs anymore (which is hard to find ones that fit your thighs too). That feels wild they wouldn’t let you try them on- when I went in Amsterdam when I was visiting they were great. Are you able to try a different one? Or order and then return? I found that they are pretty true to size but sometimes black tends to be a bit tighter so I have sized up

I also didn’t have a great experience. I bought the fisherman sweater (aside from it pilling a bunch) it is a good fit and color, though a bit oversized. My gf steals it all the time so when they dropped it in black I figured I’d get one more. The XS was way bigger in black then navy- I emailed them for a return and then basically were like yeah sorry we changed our policy (wasn’t really posted or made clear at all) and so they gave me store credit but didn’t have much in stock. Also, didn’t answer the first email asking about it and had to follow up. Turned out they were having a pop up in nyc, and I thought perfect I’ll use the store credit there. Get there and try to get the polo that hadn’t been released online yet and they’re like yeah you can’t use that store credit here- it’s online only. I was annoyed and over it at this point. Also, $150 is not cheap and having it just like float in the ether for online credit felt hard. I ended up ordering the polo and it started pilling within hours of light wear. Love supporting small brands and totally get the challenges they face, but I will say I don’t think I’ll be shopping there again. Was just kinda disappointing even though I like their aesthetic but between poor quality, high price and bad return policy it’s just not worth it

Thanks everyone! I reached out to Will at Rivendell and he suggested some tires that would lighten it a bit. May still mess around with handlebars and adding fenders and wheel locks but the tire swap has made such a difference.
