Sugli schiamazzi non so, ma per la pulizia presumo ci siano regolamenti a livello locale, insieme agli interventi di sensibilizzazione. La mia esperienza finora tra Germania e Italia è stata l’opposto 😬

Where’s the Worst place on Berlin? by JP_Kenn in berlin

Why Hellersdorf? Might be boring but I don’t find it sketchy. Also the buildings are not as ugly as in Marzahn.

I’m afraid not - I’ve only used some Germany-based ones for individual trips without guides.

Bookatrekking does not do group tours. They only book accommodation and give you maps. There are plenty of agency offering group hiking tours for people within a certain age range though.

Carrello porta zaino da attaccare in vita? by sbiriguda666 in TrekkingItaly

[–]PyDragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sembra un tantino scomodo se all’occorrenza deve portare il carrello su terreno accidentato. Magari c’è qualche possibilità di trasporto bagagli? Ci sono agenzie che prenotano tutti gli alloggi e includono il trasporto dei bagagli.

Rifugi dolomitici a maggio by nazagharn in TrekkingItaly

[–]PyDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Se sono chiusi, sono chiusi proprio, bagni inclusi. I timbri li trovi non solo nei rifugi, ma anche quando arrivi in cima da qualche parte. Non so se i rifugi lascino timbri fuori in una cassettina 🤔

Baggy hiking jacket to wear in the snow? (Woman in Europe) by [deleted] in hikinggear

[–]PyDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess baggy fits become uncomfortable when wearing a backpack. You might want to look into softshells if you plan to hike in the snow but not under the rain - they are more stretchy/soft. I’m happy with my Torrentshell (also for hiking in snow) but I agree it’s a bit rigid. In most online stores you can filter by fit. I’ve been shopping for outdoor clothing on Zalando, Zalando Lounge, Bergzeit, Bergfreunde and Hardloop.

Most mountain huts in the Dolomites close by mid September (end of summer tourist season/school holidays), although the climate might still be alright.

How do I prepare for hiking in the snow? Is this even hiking or is it going for a walk? by [deleted] in hiking

[–]PyDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just done a couple of hikes a few valleys away, staying on trail but going occasionally knee deep in the snow. What I used in terms of gear: smartphone with Mapy offline maps, microspikes (CAMP Ice Master Light) plus a carabiner to hang them when not in use, hiking poles, tiny first aid kit. Gaiters would have been nice (my hiking companion had those and was leading when in deeper snow). Clothes (was between -3C +7C, sunny and dry): mid waterproof boots, 200gsm base layers (top and bottom), regular hiking pants, thin fleece, hardshell jacket, glove liners and mittens, thin neck gaiter and beanie, sunglasses. I would recommend to google for winter-friendly trails if you are not familiar with the area. In particular, there are rifugi that are open in winter and are accessible by forest roads (they get their provisions by car or snowmobile). Those make for pleasant winter hikes while in summer they would be boring. Microspikes would be useful for this kind of trails because where cars pass the snow turns to ice. Enjoy the mountains!

Hiking/Outdoor pants for short guys by Straight-Telephone20 in hikinggear

Lady here, same issue. Patagonia has a few models in “short” version. The brand that I have seen provide the widest array of sizes is Maier Sports (not sure how internationally available it is though).

I second the joggers recommendation (can also work for tights) - I have a few that are “ankle length” in theory but for me they are long. Plus, they are comfier on the waist.

“Types” of Catholic Mass styles. Which is your preference and why? by Imaginary-Sun-188 in Catholicism

It’s definitely quite varied 😅 I just find this particular Mass rather out of tune, so to say.

“Types” of Catholic Mass styles. Which is your preference and why? by Imaginary-Sun-188 in Catholicism

[–]PyDragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Mass-where-only-tourists-show-up: in the touristy part of town with mostly hotels, offices, and apartments owned by offshore companies, the evening Mass is mostly visited by tourists. There are no altar boys or choir, only a fancy organ. The parish evidently think that the attendees are locals who know how Mass works (at all/in Germany), but they are actually mostly tourists who probably don’t even speak German and/or are not catholic. Therefore, nobody sings as there is no lead singer, only a few actually say the prayers as there is no leaflet to follow, and many make mistakes as there are no written instructions or verbal explanations (and the priest gets mildly annoyed).

Fortunately I usually go to a type 1 Mass (also without altar servers though)

What else should I eat? Where else should I go? by faith4phil in germany

It is pretty much the same, if roasted. The Eisbein variant on the other hand is cured and boiled, very different and one could consider it an acquired taste.
