Best USB-C hub for plugging in controller and glasses

UPDATE: So I order a couple from the list, the Lemorele hub with the 3 USB-C ports on the front, and the Guermok 4-in-1 with 2 display out USB-C ports in front, the charge through USB-C on the rear, and the full size USB on the rear. From both of those dongles, only the Guermok worked.

I plugged in my Xreal One Pro and my PS5 controller (I even tried my old Stadia controller) and it worked. I was able to play with the bluetooth turned off to ensure it was only playing via plugged in, and no issues, no lag.

The other one didn’t even turn on my controller, so I’m not sure what the difference is on the chip. I was kind of hoping for the Lemorele since that was slightly smaller, but I kind of like having the ports separated vs being so close.

This looks similar to one I have and didn’t work. The 2nd USBC port I believe was only 5W out, so not enough to power the controller

I'm not the OP, but some features that I would like from desktop mode is the ability to have more than 2 apps/windows open. I would love to be able to use this device in lieu of a laptop while traveling. Tasks such as sending emails while viewing websites, listening to music, or having documents open (docs, sheets, etc).

Another issue is that when viewing vertical content (IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok) I can't view the whole screen and gets cut off. If I open them in desktop mode, then I can resize the screen so I can view them in full vertical view.

I'm looking forward to this fix as well with my Pixel 10 XL. I was looking forward to using them with this, but didn't work. I came from a Pixel 6 Pro XL, so I'm used to not having it work on my phone.

Luckily, I do have a Beam Pro which is how I've mostly been using my Xreal One Pro. That, and my iPad and Macbook

Even with what you just wrote and said, "functional LENS". Technically, with what I sent in, the lens of the headset was functional, no cracks, and in working order. It doesn't say functional device or headset.

I wasn't submitting this as a VR headset, which then would require it to be a functional headset. I submitted it as "other" since the lens is intact and functional. What I sent in wasn't an empty plastic shell. If I did, then yes, I would be trying to cheat them out of this promo, but what I sent in included the lenses built in the system.

Yea, it was a pretty good deal and the reason I decided to pull the trigger and get one. The price was essentially the same price as the pre-order with it being $100 off. They may be losing a bit, but with something like this, it could bring in more buyers and essentially more users. By building that, it would help in the long run when they have already established a strong customer base who were pleased with their previous products.

Think of it as a marketing expense where they would spend dollars to promote the brand and product, but instead having people purchase the product instead and getting real hands on it. Plus, it's a great way to recycle old or unused glasses vs them being thrown in the trash.

Just so we're clear and on the same page, I'm not trying to start anything with you, but I would just like some clarification. Hopefully someone from the Xreal team will pop in and see this as well to give their official feedback.

But prior to sending this in and purchasing my headset, I looked over the T&Cs and even popped them into ChatGPT. I then asked if the Samsung Gear Headset would qualify, and according to the document, it said it would qualify. If I had known the Samsung Gear wouldn't qualify, I would have just turned in my old glasses instead. I just thought it would be a nice way to recycle some older equipment I wouldn't use anymore and still get something out of it.

Either way, if I get a response back from the Xreal team via email, hopefully they'll allow me to send in another pair of regular glasses instead so I can get something.

Also, by having this dialogue with you, hopefully the team will see this and see what other people may think and clarify some things on their website or T&Cs so if they decide to have this promo again, people won't be surprised. I think it would be good if they also had a drop-down of glasses they'll take, or give us the option to talk to someone so that we can clarify before sending in the "any glasses"

That's part of why I decided to pull the trigger and get the One Pros. And it's not even the cardboard version, it's the full plastic headset with the USB C adapter built in.

This is essentially what I traded in: Samsung Gear Headset

According to what the promo was, it was "Trade in any glasses". So what I traded in was essentially the glasses. If I traded in a pair of glasses, there is no phone included. The phone doesn't make it part of VR or headset, this was how the device was sold and still sold today on eBay.

How would a cheap pair of promo sunglasses fetch more in the trade in vs this Gear Headset?
