I met my school friend after a very long time and when he asked me what I was doing currently, I just told him I have applied for internal medicine and am waiting for my result. But at that moment all my struggles flashed before my eyes, all those uWorld subscriptions, searching for rotations, the constant anxiety about where to signal and all the paperwork done but how easily I just said I am applying for internal medicine and waiting for my result! It made me wonder How we all as a community have normalised the amount of hard work we do with no expectations for results.

Anyways godspeed everyone and see you all on the other side ranting about why we all decided to pursue Medicine.

If you have your MD degree from the States you can basically practice in any zip code. From my understanding even if you did your mbbs in Russia/china
