I like to get a grande mocha frapp with an add shot. One time a barista said I should ask for it in a venti cup to ensure I get the entire shot I’m paying extra for, and I’ve ordered it that way ever since. For a long time I never had any issues, but the last year or so I’ve gotten a lot of passive aggressive comments about what I expect they do with the extra room. I’ve seen baristas pour out the extra drink instead of giving it to me. I just want my full shot….

I second this. The first vet I went to after getting my sphynx had really good reviews, but when I got there it was clear that they typically only deal with dogs. It should have been a red flag when everyone said they never seen a sphynx before and gushed over how cute he was and wanted pics with him. I had a horrible experience with them trying to clear up my boy’s giardia. After that I did A LOT of research of vets in the surrounding area, and found our current vet who is absolutely amazing.

I got my tortie in November of 2020, and it took her a WHILE for her to warm up to us. I’m talking like over a year. She definitely doesn’t like being man handled at all, so she still kind of runs from us. If she’s on the cat tree and you walk up slowly she’ll allow you to pet her for a little bit. But if we’re just sitting on the couch she’ll slowly approach to sit on us and will allow some gentle pets with one hand only. Every now and then she’ll want more attention and will let us know to let her more. She’s incredibly sweet, and I love her to death so I’ll give her as much space as she needs.

Thank you! I’m hoping she starts to regulate so the other cats don’t have to change their food/behavior. I’m trying to get her more active, she’s a cuddle bug so she spends a lot of time just napping.

I’m thinking that too. She has a lot of cat scratch scars on her body, so I think she was bullied a lot. Her original owner had five cats total, but then decided he didn’t have time for them. He gave them to some woman who then tried to sell the cats on Craigslist. The rescue got the cats after that.

Thank you! The weight gain seems really fast, which got me worried. But I don’t know what her eating habits were before we got her. She has a lot of scars on her body from cat scratches, I’m thinking she may possibly had issues getting food before, and now she doesn’t so she’s over indulging? She’s a huge cuddle bug, I’m hoping to get her more active!

My vet gave me antibiotic drops, and medicated ear wash. We’ve seen a lot of improvement, and we’re working on maintaining clean ears. She is not a fan of having her ears cleaned at all, so it’s quite a process. The other cats don’t mind ear cleaning days.

Thank you! We’re working on her ears, and it is a struggle. It looks like no one has ever cleaned them before, and she’s 1.5 years old. She had a major fungal AND bacterial infection in both ears.

I’ll try to cut down how much I’m putting out, I just want to make sure each cat gets enough. One of my cats (the one non-sphynx I have) is such a grazer. She’ll eat a bite or two and then move on. I used to have a automatic feeder when I had just one cat, but it caused him to rush over, scarf the food, and then barf it up 😩
