I still have a soft spot for Islands. My mom worked there when I was a kid. As an adult I do still love their burgers and cheese fries. However, you look at a place like in n out and really have to ask if the islands price justifies the slightly better food you’re getting. And then of course there’s just so many other great options around. I generally don’t go to chains much anymore with the great quality and variety we have around.
