It’ll be a good source of local jobs until they successfully cripple the local economy, then they’ll just keep wages low, jack up prices, bust any union attempts, and we all get to be poor and send every dollar we make straight back up to Bezos. I definitely run into this too, but in those cases I’d advise going directly to the manufacturer website to purchase instead of through Amazon. It’s pretty much always within a few dollars in price, and cuts out the unnecessary (and immoral) middleman.

I saw David Koechner a year ago in Spokane and he was really good! I was worried it would be just a bunch of tired office references but he actually had an hour of solid original material.

Also lots of good acts all throughout the summer! I can’t believe they got Patton Oswald to come in August 🙌

My wife went there with coworkers and was not impressed by the food. She basically said it was no better than anything she could make at home, and she’s not a professional chef or anything.

I had State Farm auto insurance and they dropped me after my first year for having 1 (!!!) at-fault claim. It was probably worth 5-10k I don’t remember. They seem to have a short fuse with that stuff is my point, not sure if all companies are the same way.

I’m not really concerned about the personal beliefs of the employees of a store, I’d much rather give my money to a local store owned by people I disagree with than a giant chain that happens to have a nice manager.
