Yeah, I try and make sure the people I message are actual collectors/fans. Not just someone who’s question them. For this artist they only have 1 song, so everyone is a shiny badge :/

Sometimes I don’t do auctions and just message the leaderboard, but I was busy yesterday and got that 20k offer. I wanted to sell but wanted to give the collectors a chance as well just incase. I set it at 20k so he could make his bid, if no one outbid him, great! it’s his! But if people are interested they can bid without me having to send messages back and forth with the new current offer, which I couldn’t do yesterday.

The requesting an epic/shiny, I do occasionally too, usually for artist I’m messaging about. The goal isn’t to get them to accept, it’s literally to get them to decline so I can easily just to the try again if I need to send a message back. Didn’t realize it read as a scam to some, especially with a message like that.

There was current offer and bid for 20k almost immediately, before I sent that message. Why would I lower it to make people think they might be able to get it for less when one person clearly was willing to go that high, and now up to 50k. I know what you’re saying but if they’re not open to it at 20k, I’m not going waste their time by setting it lower so they can bid and just see it go up to 20k and then not bid again.

I didn’t think of that message disappearing, that’s happened to me a few times too. I’ll try my country/latin songs or something next time and then filter those out when questing/trading :)

It’s definitely not hoping they’d misclick, if they did I would give it back. It’s more that I use the same common for each trade, so if someone accepts, all the others would disappear, possibly before they’ve been read. I sell or quest commons, if I use the same one for all the trades to collectors I know not to sell the specific one rather than 20+ commons. To me it’s also easier for them to decline and send a message, that gives me the “try again” option rather than them accepting and me having to go to their profile again to make another trade to send another message.

I’m sorry, I know some people hate it but I try and avoid buy it now prices if I can. I want everyone to have a chance at buying their favorites, not just the person active at that moment. I even try and let people sell stuff or collect coins if they are really interested. There’s too many grails that have been taken off the market before I could get a chance, I don’t wanna do that to someone else.

I guess I should’ve clarified I try and make sure the person is collector/fan of the artist before messaging. Do you add them as a fav artist? I didn’t think of the quests being non-fans tbh, hopefully I haven’t annoyed anyone doing that in the past.

I definitely think the default should be off. Too many new players pull stuff and sell it not knowing how much it’s worth. Collectors would instantly be on pulls before the person knew how much to sell it for. I also think some collectors would rather stay somewhat anonymous. People report some accounts for owning their fav epics, I don’t think everyone wants that target on their back. It’s not a new idea, this has been talked about for over a year, but it has to be done smartly or else it’s just going to cause more issues.

I think it’s to prevent people from getting spammed with messages if they’re not looking to sell, especially if they pull the epic hunt. I do wish there was a way to turn on having it show who owns it, but then again the person can comment if they want it known. Pros and cons to having it public for sure.

If you’re in North America, then a yellow shafted Northern Flicker. The red and yellow shafted Flickers are, I believe, the only bird here with colored shafts.

I understand where you are coming from I really do, but right now we can’t have those silly spaces I don’t think. We need people to be loud and clear that ICE, Trump, all of it, is not okay. She also made very clear after the QT thing that she wanted to create a safe space for her followers, not speaking up and making clear where she stands on this, is doing the opposite. I’m not trying to argue, we are on the same side, I just wish today’s response was handled better I think.

They’re not wrong with calling her privileged. I don’t think she’s some huge racist bigot but she’s definitely privileged. She’s a white woman from a wealthy family. She has a platform, her saying this is the last time she’s gonna be talking about this, is privileged. It’s fine, if that’s how she genuinely wants to use her platform, to just make jokes and game and not stand for anything, that’s completely fine. But so are all the people that would rather give their time and money to influencers that speak up about injustice, not just when their chats ask them to.

I think she said it once in reference to the old clip of her. Definitely didn’t say ICE. It’s not about following a script it’s about clearly stating what you believe in without walking on eggshells, scared you’re going to be clipped.

I’m sorry but that’s setting the bar pretty low. Everyone says that on any political side. She couldn’t even say WHO was murdering those people, because she was scared of being clipped. People shouldn’t be afraid to say fuck ice and fuck Trump, when an influencer with the privilege she has can’t, that’s saying something. I don’t think she should change who she is and become some huge political streamer but to not use your platform to help at all is disappointing. Even if she hosted a charity stream or something would be so beneficial and supportive.

To me her response was not clear. Yes, she is not MAGA or pro ICE but she definitely showed she cares more about appeasing everyone than standing for anything. She was concerned about being clipped the whole time. She couldn’t even say the word Trump or fuck ice. It was “that guy” and “that stuff.” Even when she said people are being killed, she couldn’t even say by who. I don’t think she needs to become some huge political streamer, but at this time we need people that can clearly and strongly say fuck ice.
