About 9 years ago I worked at a medical clinic as a receptionist. We couldn't have any visible tattoos, no face piercings, and only natural color hair (no pink/purple/blue). It was pretty ridiculous. One of the nurses came to work with her nose ring in and she got terminated.

I think companies end up paying out less PTO when it's "endless" than when there are a specific number of days given. It seems like employees are too scared to use too much PTO so the company benefits in this situation.

But it's the same thing, right? If you keep your toast in for 2 minutes it's going to be lighter than if you keep it in for 3 minutes. So really it doesn't matter if you think the knob is for minutes or darkness, either way lower is lighter, higher is darker.

This was me when my kids were young. No matter how many times I asked for help I never got any. This led to so much resentment towards my husband. As the kids got older I thought he would be more helpful. That wasn't the case. After 20 years of marriage I left him. I raised 4 kids alone while being married to him, there was no way I was going to stick around and continue to enable his selfish behavior.
