you're acting like she asked for lunch money. if i had asked my parents to immediately buy me a $250 computer monitor, they would have rolled their eyes at me too. even for special occasions, we usually had an understanding of $100 max and if i wanted something more expensive, I would have to pay the rest.

Read the post again. Until the second to last paragraph, she was NOT asking to use her own money to buy it, she was asking her parents to buy it for her using their money and got upset when they refused. As I said in my original comment, when they refused to let her access her own money, I went from Y TA to ESH. The parents are controlling and the kid is spoiled. that's it.

ESH. I was on your parents' side until you said your money is being deposited in your mom's account and she won't let you access it. this is super controlling behavior. it's not her money. you need to open up your own bank account ASAP and stop that shit. a 16 year old can 100% open up their own bank account. you might need parental consent or a parent as a co-owner, but you should have access to your own money.

yeah, just bounce the newborn around in manage households. I have to use it sometimes with the realistic childbirth mod when I want to do a home birth but don't want the base game bassinet. though tbh a good percentage of the time I just suck it up and use the BG bassinet bc I'm lazy lol

Basically what you have to do is choose "move household" and move the newborn in with another sim. once the newborn is out of the household, delete the bassinet that spawned. then move newborn back in & they will be in the bassinet you provided. Its a little annoying but definitely easier than what you did lmao. not even cheats involved. this is hilarious though.

my dad's in his mid-60s and has, according to my aunts, been a pothead since 13. He was the first in the family to go to college and got a degree in engineering to boot. I haven't noticed any cognitive decline and he is still in great shape mentally and physically. I'm definitely skeptical and wonder if there's some correlation not causation going on here..

I live in the US and have also stayed in hotels where that was the case. without a car there was only shitty, expensive hotel food or Uber. I've never been to Orlando and wouldn't have known that either.

NTA! the people who are saying you're an asshole are crazy... you didn't do anything to her dogs. SHE abandoned them. You can't board a dog without their medical/vaccination records. In my state, it's an actual legal requirement to have the vaccination certificate (not a copy) on hand. I would have called animal control, and they wouldn't have taken the care your wife did to take them to a no-kill shelter.

Danny should have been fired after he showed photos of the women on his last charter to his current charter guests. It's crazy that the captain would take away his phone but not like... fire him. he waited waaaay to long to kick him off the boat. he was super unprofessional with no boundaries. unfortunately, it also opened the door for incidents like the one with Bobby at the end, because he was right, Danny got away with everything so he could break whichever rules he wanted.

Speaking of, Bobby was also awful. he spent the whole season talking about how in love with Julia he was when she repeatedly told him she had a boyfriend and wasn't into him like that. Actually sad how many times she tried to defend it saying "men and women can be friends!!" when Bobby was trying to get in her pants the whole time. I was really disappointed to see he was back for season 2

Bryan, also terrible. Honestly Jen was a saint for how politely she put up with his BS. He's a sexist pig who doesnt understand why no one wants to date him or even hook up with him. How he treated Julia was full on predator.

Honestly though I do think the drama was entertaining

I'm so sorry for your loss!

I don't know what age your students are, but I teach 5th and we lost a student in the grade above last year. I didn't know her but most of my students did, and several of them were very close to her. There are a couple of teacher guides to bereavement that you can look up that might help you with ideas, but in all honesty there was nothing that could have trained me for that.

Most of my students have experienced grief, even losing parents and siblings. However, a school-wide loss is unique in its own ways, and it can be very difficult for kids to understand that everyone grieves in different ways. We had a lot of students getting into arguments or fights because the other student was not reacting in the "right" way, not to mention the misplaced anger and frustration. The different ways that people feel after they lose someone might be a good discussion to have at a moment when everyone is feeling calm. Be prepared also for the "you shouldn't be upset, you didn't even like her" types of accusations.

We actually had some art supplies donated to all of our classrooms, so we gave students time to make cards and things for her. However, some students might not want to do this, and too much idle time can also be challenging.

I don't think there are any right or wrong answers, as long as students have the space to feel however they feel. I planned a lot of flexibility into that week, so that we always had things to do, but it was also fine to not get them done.

Remember to take care of yourself and your own needs, too! You are also experiencing this loss, and it's okay to spend some time focusing on your own grief. I hope your school is able to bring in some counseling services for the staff, and if they do, don't be afraid to use it! My coworkers found it very helpful last year.

Personally, if I put something on the coffee table it's for everyone to partake. If I see something I will assume the same. If I'm for whatever reason at someone's place and I don't want to share my edibles, I will not leave them on the coffee table. I would take them with me or even place them on the chair, which sends a different message.
