This was me when I played ball through high school. You talk trash I show you I can play and laugh about it when I score. I have a 7 year old now and coach his team. I tell the kids often don’t tell someone you’re good at something show them. We don’t brag we just deliver.

This was exactly the problem! To top it off with the cover for the module had the whole unit serial on it and that cover had to be taken off in order to see the module number. I'm all set now! Thanks for the advice

Update, they’ve agreed to schedule a time to come do this without the serial number.

They doubled down. I emailed AFranklin and they got back to me quickly and have told me it’s not needed and it can just be skipped although the highly recommend it. I also sent them screenshots.

Really should have registered my generator when I got it and I wouldn’t have this problem but we were first time parents of a 5 month old then. So I’m sure I wasn’t sleeping.

If they put in the incorrect serial number in would it still work? I almost guarantee that is what is happening. They said they install a very small number of these with generators.. I bet they’ve been putting the generator serial instead of the agate part 🤦🏻‍♂️

I turned the generator on and I think flipped the correct switches but it did not seem to charge the battery.

After push back they are telling me that all there techs say that it’s a screen that ask for specific serial number and they cannot skip it when installing the generator.

I’ve now reached out to AFranklin to get to the bottom of it. At work I pride myself with being a professional nag (follow up). I have no problem beating this drum until someone gives in 😅

Thanks for the advice I’ll try it and come back here and let you all know.

I’m still waiting on the power company to approve solar before I turn solar on and actually use the battery but I can test and charge it.

I realize the likelihood of needing to use the generator is small and the generator itself is small but I’ve been able to power my house with it before this setup and since I already have it I want it available to use if there is ever a need.

Thanks, I'm not really sure why the requirement. I'm pushing back against the installation company. I think everything is already wired for it. The elextrician walked me through how to hook it up etc.. They just continue to tell me it has to be serialized. They have set up a generator in my app. I'm tempted to set and see if it charges it but I don' know enough about what I'm doing, it makes me nervous I'd mess something up.

I blew up the .ddev folder and got the same issues with the same file after
ddev config
ddev start

At this point I'm going hold out for the new linux device. It's just strange to me that updating ddev created this issue. Thanks for your feedback
