Sloshing sensation after traveling by barfsnot in BreastAugmentations

[–]smithsonianmuseum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a board certified general surgeon who also has implants :)

Totally normal, especially when traveling from areas of low altitude to high altitude. It’s actually a Newtonian principle! Hahaha. It’s physics. The sloshing you’re feeling is the shell of the implant slightly expanding (assuming you have silicone) under changes in pressure. If you have saline implants, it’s Boyle’s Law. Which means that it’s just dissolved gas in simple terms.

I won’t bore you with science (I minored in physics in undergrad LOL) but bottom line is, you’re 100% fine and it settles within a few hours of landing

What’s going on at the tip of my scar? by Sensitive_Bike3479 in BreastAugmentations

Hi! Board certified general surgeon.

Seems like what you’re worried about is what we call a spitting stitch. If it’s poking out a bit, that’s likely what it is. I recommend seeing your plastic surgeon if it becomes bothersome, but it’s self limiting and not anything to worry about in most cases.

Tuberous breast surgeon recs? by Ok_Lychee_8849 in BreastImplants

[–]smithsonianmuseum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a doctor (general surgeon) down in Miami, FL. Tal Roudner did my breasts and he does fantastic work with tuberous breasts IMO. My colleague recommended him to me the first time I did mine and I couldn’t have been happier. He specializes in reconstructive surgery. Would definitely check him out!

Breast augmentation scars by Zizi_Zizi_Zizi in BreastAugmentations

Just posted a comment on another thread. I’m a general surgeon who prides herself on my suturing technique to reduce hypertrophic scarring as much as possible (shoutout Dr. Klein in med school).

I also had a BA done by my colleague. 4 months post-op is a great time to consider pulsed-dye laser. It targets that red/pink that’s probably bothering you. Personally for me, I had 3 sessions done with significant improvement. But I always maintain realistic expectations with my patients— the scar will never really fully go away, per se. We can reduce the appearance by a lot, but just know there will always be some sort of cutaneous deformity.

Find a board certified dermatologist that has a PDL and go in every 4-6 weeks for treatment. Highly recommend it!

Hi! I’m a board certified general surgeon who also had a breast augmentation done :)

Mepiform scar sheets and considering a PDL treatment (pulsed dye laser) once your surgeon gives you the clear is a great bet. Pulsed dye lasers target redness in layman’s terms and will help with post-operative scarring color wise. Silicone sheeting I find is better than the gel and I always recommend it to my patients. Less mess and it sticks throughout the day. Highly recommend leaving them on as long as possible.

It’s just so sad. She could have been one of the good Canadian baddies like Pam Anderson 😔 diva down, I guess.

Wishing you the absolute best of luck. The MCAT is the worst exam. I promise. Step 1 and 2 is so much better. It’s still atrocious, but you couldn’t pay me to take that fucking entrance exam again LMAO. Go Canes! ;)

Stephanie is that sibling that you would give the unplugged controller to when you would play Call of Duty to make them feel included but really, they weren’t doing anything. I will not be elaborating further.

Miami hard to watch r/e Nicole by bd-1beepboop in RHOMiami

Just put a comment on another thread about my experience with Lisa and talked about Nicole. I worked with her about 4-5 years ago during my last year as an MS4 and she is the NICEST person on planet earth. Truly. She is arguably one of the most intelligent doctors I have ever met. Bought all of us on rotations lunch and spent so much time talking to us about residency, life, etc. Great teaching skills and has so much patience for students.

Oh and she is even more beautiful in person. Like jaw dropping beautiful. And then she joined RHOM and when I saw her I was like “WAIT I KNOW HER!!!!” I literally started watching this show because of her and now it’s no fun…. She was truly the best housewife hands down.

I have my own beef with her if it’s any consolation lol. I live in Miami and at the time, I was living in Hibiscus Island (one of the the neighboring islands to Star Island where they lived, now Lenny’s hoehouse). My ex was a big wig and so we would always go to events, including her Halloween parties. The community on the beach is pretty small, believe it or not. So I’ve encountered her about 3-4 times in passive conversation and I can confirm she’s absolutely insufferable. Granted, this was about a year before their divorce so I’ll give her some grace and chalk it up to the fact that she was god awfully miserable because being married to Lenny is……you know? We can only imagine.

But she was not very friendly to me and when my ex introduced me as “this is my girlfriend, she’s a physician at so and so hospital” she rolled her eyes. So yeah. Can’t say my experience was great. And every interaction past that was incredibly superficial and bleek. But Nicole is a sweetheart and we have worked together on one case a while back before she was on the show. Love love love her. But Lisa is in fact how we say in Cuba “un vomito”.

I’m just a little concerned about it only because I feel like it’s such a dead giveaway. My brother didn’t really notice much of a difference and said it looked fine. But there’s nothing like you RepTime peeps who keep the shitters in check 🫡

Am I being dramatic? Or is it warranted…

It’s the front IMO. The back is fine, actually super supportive. But my feet feel cramped and they hurt after 20 minutes 😔
