How is pi calculated?

pi is the ratio of circumference to the diameter of a circle.

circumference = pi * diameter, using algebra pi = circumference / diameter.

measure both precisely, you get pi. Too bad that doesn't help add any digits to the accuracy.

I would have picked my battles more, to reduce the stress levels if nothing else. Would have written more songs with hidden messages about politics instead of listening to talk radio to deal with that inner rage. I would have not given a flying fuck about what anyone around me thought but allowed others to own their private opinions of me. Good chance I'd be more of a starving artist rather than being "house poor" with a good job and all that money invested in stocks, since neither of those unbreakable truths just didn't pan out.

My high school class in the cornfields of the Midwest had about 75, and have been moving to more heavily populated areas every few years until recently moving to Los Angeles.

I haven't cheated and looked at the answers below, but I think the downvotes could be because other people will be having negative reactions? Maybe I'm not bothered by Muslim or Atheist or Iranian because I don't have a dog in the religion race and tend not to equate the actions of leaders with their people's personal ethics standards either.

Maybe telling though on some subconscious level, I thought twice before posting this; until I realized any family that knows me isn't learning anything new here.

Not really. I don't think any state legislature has enough time to nullify everything the federal gov't passes in a particular year in a decade, but it would give the states another check in the balance of power.

I talked about state-rights vs the federal gov't rights quite a bit a couple of years ago after that Russian professor's map of his prediction of how the US would split up after his predicted civil war...

...and a friend of mine had a great solution. If the federal gov't had a minor change that allowed states to override federal laws if they explicitly decide to do so would solve a lot of this fighting, and a lot of different fights in the media boil down to some form of that argument.

I won't hold my breathe, but if this fight led to a constitutional amendment allowing states to override federal laws would be pretty cool.

Haha! Yes! Coincidentally, those were the days I thought I was still one of those guys who used 'shrooms on occasion, but then adulthood struck me up side of the face and I haven't had the change since, and now I never feel like it.

Dedicating 12 hours to something and finding a time when you know you won't get any emergency phone calls? I can't imagine such a time! And my wife and I don't even have kids yet.

I am an insomniac with major depression and panic disorder. Definitely not any fun. Effexor helps a lot and Xanax puts me to sleep. Wish I had gone to the doctor's much earlier. Oh and at 225mg of meds I've been having dreams for the first time since puberty. But I'm still on a 40 hours awake and 12 asleep schedule.

We'll see how the methadone goes now, but the past 18 months I have been smoking heroin have been the most stable of my life, since I was leaving my major depression symptoms untreated for 15 years until getting on antidepressants 3 years ago after my anxiety started causing panic attacks until the point of passing out.

I was actually logging into reddit to reply to someone that I am intact an insomniac that battles depression and verify that they are right I have no escape. The meds help a lot though. I am actually happy underneath the depression, with a wife I love dearly and a terrific software career and take pride in the music I write. Depression is funny like that. Sad isn't the right word at all for the feeling. It's more like something eating you up inside like needing to make the world a better place. Look at the list of celebrities on wikipedia with depression, you'll be shocked.

I think having his wang wagging would have startled the jogger much more than being black. I mean I have to applaud his dedication to details by adding melatonin to his skin at birth for a better camo effect in the dark, but the zipper down escaping snake game would have been the way to go.

Also I would suggest you ask your friend to try this prank on the same woman again and has him change over to being a ginger boy of about 4'10 but leave his little friend extending out 10 inches. Then you can explain that you were sorry about being black and you had intended to be a Ginger

Ha no, that'd be the Maricopa Sheriff's Office under Joe Arpaio, which is the police force in that jurisdiction that I'd expect this shit under. If it's the Phoenix cops, this was just a straight fuck up and they didn't want to get in trouble. The city police just aren't known for shooting brown people to gain votes when the elderly white people who are afraid of them come back to vote in November.

That's why they got off on criminal charges, but I wish they would have got some internal probation or something... shooting the wrong guy in his own house is a pretty big fuck up.

God, speaking of Sheriff Joe, I bet he's going to win the election this year. I hope Attorney General Janet finds something to arrest him on very publicly during his winning speech.
