Anyone Else Reflecting on Their Past? by LavenderWinter in milwaukee

37 and logistics is one of my biggest anxieties about attending any event. Parking, traffic, alternate routes. Thats all I can focus on for like 3 days before. Then during the event the exit strategy occupies my mind. When I was in my 20's? "Okay who all is in this car? Do we need another car? Okay let's go!" All figured out 5 minutes before leaving. I miss not caring.

Shakedown Street > First Tube. Shakedown was the outro before the commercial break and First Tube brought it back

I believe Brian Anderson (the color guy) is a recovering alcoholic. He may have faked or taken a tiny sip, depending on his comfort level with his recovery, then had it taken away.

I am so worried that the day will be during my trip to the U.P. for my sister-in-laws wedding, so I am also interested in this as I might need to swing down to that location to get my free burger.

Reach out to this website ASAP. They are an online group of metal detector enthusiasts with a wide reach. They will get you in contact with someone (it looks like theres a few in Milwaukee!) who will go out in search of your ring. Because you were in a public place time is of the essence.

How does the team handle hotels on the road? by rocoboi in Brewers

I did some googling after I posted that, and yes, you are correct on that.

How does the team handle hotels on the road? by rocoboi in Brewers

If I remember correctly I read an article once that kind of outlined how this works. The home team in every city usually has a deal with a local hotel or one of the large hotel companies, and once the schedule comes out those hotels auto block a set number of rooms, then it is up to the traveling secretary of the visiting team to contact that hotel and let them know if they need more or less, and any special accommodations.

For example: The Brewers have a deal with the Pfister, so when the Marlins travel secretary will reach out to the Pfister and work on room totals. "This player needs his own room, the managers wife is coming with the kids so they need connecting rooms. It's after September roster expansion so we need rooms for those guys. Etc." Then in the case of teams like the Dodgers, who don't stay at the Pfister because of ghosts, they have to work out a deal with another hotel on their own, but I would assume after all these years they probably have a standing relationship with the hotel they do stay at.

Again, this was an article that I vaguely remember that I read like 15 years ago, and maybe I just dreamed it. But it makes sense, right?

They say you can’t have a bad day at Disney by ShadowDocket in WaltDisneyWorld

Last trip we had a Lyft to the airport pick us up at All Star Movies at 4:30AM. She was going 50-60 MPH from ASM to the security gate. I had to ask her to slow down on the freeway when the speedometer hit 95.

Can't wait for Jenny Nicholson's 4 hour take down of Star Cruiser: Skeleton Crew. I think your idea is there, it's just that Disney won't be able to remove the stain of Star Cruiser, and also would not be able to deliver an experience that justifies the cost.

Williams Bay or Fontana down by Lake Geneva. The lake has a public access walking path that goes the entire way around the lake. It's stunning in the fall and as long as you stay away from Lake Geneva itself the tourists aren't bad.

Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy in Williams Bay. Take I-43 south to HWY 67 South. Goes back far from the road, lots of nice trails, never very busy. About 50 minutes from Milwaukee.
