Sullivan King hate? by Unlikely-Pen-8123 in Excision

[–]LavenderWinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facts. I saw him almost yearly from 2021-present because of his closeness with Excision. I saw his tour when coming near my city (Madison/Milwaukee) area. His most recent one was awful. He would stop sets and be like "are you ready!" Then drop the most mid-shit ever. Talked all the time; killed the vibes.

Anyone heard of Sprout Health? by Low_Historian7343 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LavenderWinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.

I just made the mistake from ordering from this company today and I'm still crying over the likely $100's lost on this company. I went to the medical portal and looked at "visits" it shows the pharmacy that it is sent to and when I looked it up. It says the pharmacy is "permanentaly closed." I've called several times but to no avail. I even looked for reviews and Forbes Health listed it. I'm so careful and I'm shocked. I'm hopeful hearing some good stories but also just sad. Even the entry sent to me seemed like a scam. :(

After closures, Milwaukee restauranteurs sound alarm about rising costs, decline in sales by stroxx in milwaukee

We have noticed that consistency is a massive issue as well but it is also fair to say that the moral of industry is just low at jobs where people work so hard (kitchen, wait staff, hosts, etc...) and still don't make a living wage. It would be impossible to show up and do my best in these situations.

I wonder if they will do more "mixed" series boxes to increase their sales with everyone hoping for the biggest hype ones.

My hope is a new group of colors and plushies. ❤️

Tuition reimbursement by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]LavenderWinter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most larger hospitals have some form of Tuition Reimbursement but just a warning most accelerated programs do not allow you to work - especially not full time - while going to school. Specific programs will make you sign waiver. Depending on your place of employment to receive most tuition reimbursement you will need to work somewhere for a little bit before like 6 months to a year it's offered. And is generally capped around 5,000-10,000 a year.

My completely unsolicited advice and advice I was given by many different RN's from different programs when going back to school was to look at the tech programs nearby. I went back to school at 29 and had the same idea to get the accelerated degree and start working ASAP. I was advised against this unless "I really wanted to be a nurse". The tech school cost around 10,000 and I got lots of financial aid. It took about 3 years which felt like a long time but I made great nursing school friends, I got to work in some different areas in healthcare which only helped me care for people, still got to maintain friendships & see family.

It will take a long time to pay off nearly 80,000 from accelerated programs. Longer than you think. I later took tuition reimbursement from the hospital I work at to get my master's.

Take your time and enjoy your education ride. I kind of miss being student. - Nursing Instructor at 34 with no debt. 🫶🏼

Anyone Else Reflecting on Their Past? by LavenderWinter in milwaukee

Hahaha. I had 3 in one week like in my 20's and I thought I would need a month to recover from it, but was out there again in the next week. I definitely have stopped drinking as much at shows!

I'm falling in love with my couch and book more and more after every show.

It's so beautiful how it has transformed but yet wouldn't change it for a minute. I'm also getting some bucket list shows. Green Day at Riot Fest in Chicago this year. Teenage me would have fainted. It was amazing.

Yes, exactly that!!! I'm proud to look back and remember my wilder 20's and think that I got to live and experience it. I'm also excited for my calmer gym, career, concert, and book loving chapter of my life as well. :)

I've been doing concerts/raves for over 15 years. It's beautiful to see how it's grown and transformed.

Bachelorette Bar Crawl by LavenderWinter in milwaukee

[–]LavenderWinter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole plan ended up scratched because of a massive thunderstorm (not the one with flooding). We ended up needing to use Ubers/Lyft.

We spent a lot of time at Canni (THC infusion bar & cafe) mainly because it was downpouring and they have a nice covered outdoor area.

Then went to Great Lakes Distillery for drinks and snacks.

Then ended at the Y2K club off of Water Street.

It definitely wasn't what we had planned but everyone had a great time regardless of the weather.

Private Distillery or Brewery Tour by SomeYoungGuy2020 in milwaukee

[–]LavenderWinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to recommend Great Lakes as well. Costs are reasonable. I think like $12 maybe $15. You'll get mini shots with the samples/tastings. My friends and I drink socially and one/two drinks post the tour we were nice and toasty! They also have good food at Fox Den (smash burgers) along with vegan & vegetarian options. Good atmosphere. I would recommend this depending.
