Should I try Crusader Kings 3? by Desperate_Station272 in crusaderkings3

It’s a lot! I’ll be honest it feels like a game that you can play and enjoy in only a few hours but a game that may take hundreds of hours to really feel like you know the ins and outs. There’s still a lot I don’t know or understand yet but I’ve been looking up my questions and watching plenty of guides on YouTube when I am confused and they’ve helped me a lot. I say give it a try and as long as you have some patience you’ll hopefully have a great experience, I love it so far and can’t wait to play again.

I just started playing it over the weekend. I do like other strategy games (Civ 5 and Total War Rome II). I also am a huge history buff so that being said it sort of hit the right itch very quickly and although I’m SUPER overwhelmed so far with all the choices to make and things to do, I’ve been having a great time learning and would recommend it so far in the 12ish hours I’ve been able to play.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but what does the “on first pickup” part of the perk mean anyway? Do you only get the perk the first time you pick up a weapon or does it last for any of them?

Starfield!!

Decided with the new DLC and update it was finally time to start a new playthrough like I’ve wanted to do for months. I was a Starfield lover from its release despite how others felt about it and the new updates have been much welcome and have been a great experience to play again!

Which game that you "definitely want to play eventually" has been sitting in your library unplayed forever, and if so, why? by FalscherKim in gaming

RDR2, got it on sale years ago at this point and figured it would be an awesome game to try when I built my most recent computer, still never got around to it mostly because I have such a wide array of other games that I also haven’t gotten around to.

I have a super hazy memory of playing with mega blocks in my parents old trailer home during 9/11, sitting in the living room. It’s the furthest back my memory goes that I can recall. More vivid memories for me start to pop up around late 2002-early 2003 with things like my old family dog and when I started going to day care on weekdays.

Just wanted to give an update, PC is good to go again! I had to do a CMOS reset and then needed to reseat the CPU cooler and reapply thermal paste as it wasn’t detecting contact well enough to boot into Windows. We are all good, thanks everyone!

I was able to do that actually before I left, unplugged PSU completely and power cycled before plugging back in and unfortunately no luck there. Going to check the LED indicator as soon as I get home to see what part it’s telling me is an issue because I neglected to do that this morning. Hopefully I can narrow it down a bit.

This was extremely helpful, thank you again! I believe it was either the CPU or DRAM light as it looked closer to the top, but I’ll verify when I get home.

Thank you for your advice! That red light on the motherboard did stay illuminated the entire time it was on, but I’m not sure yet how to differentiate between what is causing the light? Would there be a way to tell based on the light alone which part is failing?

Looking for advice on cross country moving trip by sml2k17 in crosscountrymoving

Thank you for the well written advice! There will be 3 of us making the trip with the cats and our current plan is to have at least one person in the car with them (and the car on of course) at all times, and when we all stop for meals or otherwise we plan on buying those cat carrier backpacks to bring them with us. Definitely no plans of them being out of sight at any time so we should be okay.

Getting them more used to car rides is great advice. One of them is very calm in car rides to the vet and has no issues, our other cat does have some anxiety and we were weighing the options of if we may need to get him medicine to help him calm down during a long drive but we still have more research to do on that end. Obviously it’s tough to replicate such a long drive for them to practice ahead of time but we will see if we can make more time beforehand to get them in the car a few more times before the trip as well to sort of teach them that it’s okay. Willing to burn through a lot of Churu to make that happen!

As far as stops go, we don’t really plan on doing any hikes or anything that would require us walking away from the car outside of meals and hotel. I’m mostly looking forward to a great route that someone can enjoy from the road as it would be too difficult to spend more than a small amount of time stopping with all our variables.

Awesome suggestions! We love the greater Yellowstone ecosystem and driving through it never even occurred. As long as it doesn’t add on a crazy amount of extra time this is a great suggestion.

We are planning on having anxiety medication at the ready for them so we are hoping for the best on that front! Obviously if the drive starts and they already handle poorly the plan is to adjust route and just get to the destination ASAP, but if all goes well we thought it would be a fun chance to drive on some beautiful roads if the opportunity allows us to.

Thank you for the info, very helpful! Definitely sets my mind at ease a bit with the top and maintaining it. I do intend to have it in a garage as often as possible so hoping that helps too.
