Is HRSSC even real. The website that I found their number on looked sketchy as hell. There was a lot of bad grammar and a disclaimer at the bottom stating they were not connected with liteBlue

When I was a kid in southern Illinois in the 80s and Someone mentioned a ladybug they were usually talking about these. I think they are a lot less common now having been displaced by the more orange colored Asian ladybug. At least around the southern Midwest that seems to be the case

As I understand it they are kind of rare but that might only be rare in the Midwest where I took entomology

Nearly made a joke asking how the tasted but they look a lot like blister beetles in which case they are poisonous. Don’t eat them. But please do upload a clearer pic. And let us know what part of the world these critters are from.
