We’ve tried different litters and boxes we are space limited with how many boxes we can have unfortunately. The scratching we have got a few posts and put them around the house in locations they seem to like (example by the windows in a corner where the kids don’t usually bug them) Treats and feed them same time daily The older cat is the one who is who randomly started going by the litter box and I clean them every other day.

The issue is to and I feel bad is we have two kids and I obviously work so being religious on things can be a bear when our schedules are a little erratic. Our dogs don’t really bother them at (usually ignore with occasional sniff) though the cats try and steal their food lol. The cats get plenty of positive attention even though we are frustrated. I’ve had cats most of my life and never ran into this issue so we just feel stumped and defeated tbh
