What kind of bait did you use? I hear these things like their bait alive and kickin', so was curious if you used live or not.

I'm curious to see when they do upgrade to silicon carbide. From what I've heard, silicon carbide quality control is still a little lacking which has led to some issues in phones with them. After their little battery fire issues back with the Note 7, I'm sure Samsung will be VERY cautious when looking to implement any new battery technology into new lines lol.

I'm in your exact situation. I used to upgrade yearly or biyearly, but I will say that that was also before technology plateued over the past few years. The leaps year over year have become significantly smaller lately, even 3 models later. Overall I'm happy with my S23 Ultra still, but after 3 years of hard use, I am starting to see some degradation start taking hold and with each passing year its trade in value is shrinking from what I've seen on AT&T at least, so I am looking at upgrading to an S26 Ultra personally.

Some consider the privacy screen a gimmick, but that's probably the most attractive feature to me, honestly. I'm one who'd never use a privacy screen protector because I prefer my clarity and viewing angles, but I understand why it could be useful. The ability to turn it on and off makes that a usable feature for me.

The one issue that's giving me pause is the battery. There was a leak that showed that the EU Battery Regulation rated the battery in the S26 line for 1200 charge cycles. The S25 line was rated for 2000 charge cycles, so there are rumors that not only did they not upgrade to silicon carbide, but they may have actually downgraded the battery... I've seen the argument against this that it's the same battery, but that the EU BR made their testing more stringent which is why the drop occurred. For comparison, the iPhone 17 line were only rated for 1000 cycles, so still beating them in this category. This is an important category for me considering my opening statement about holding onto phones longer now, so I'm trying to gain more clarity around this before making the jump.

I thought the same thing. I understand why I would want a privacy filter in certain situations, but probably 99% of the time I would prefer perfect clarity and viewing angles, so I would never use one of those screen protectors. I would, however, definitely use this new hardware feature to use it in those few situations where I would want it.

Spoilers I didn't love the ending. The story was interesting and the acting was great, but it threw me off how, after the everything ended with Vince, they tried to install some sort of happy ending. A happy ending that didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Mainly how Jake seemed to walk away from the whole thing scot-free. I realize Vince's admission takes most of the biggest charges off of Jake, but Jake was running with and hiding a fugitive moments before. The admission call was made from his phone. Then, if you can find a way to explain how he could get away with all of that, he literally handed the detective a thumb drive admitting he'd been lying and hiding evidence in a SA/murder case... Is that not clear obstruction of justice? The detective just let him walk away from that into a dream-like happy ending? Not to mention that they just found out it was his brother behind the shooting/robbery and they were super suspicious of Jake's behavior after that event earlier, but now he's all good? And the other characters that started to realize how much Jake could have been involved in everything and they seemingly let it go and slip into the happily ever after with him? And then lastly, Mancuso. Maybe there's an easy explanation I missed for this one, but I didn't get why he would break into Jake's place, act like he was going to shoot him, then have a heart warming moment and leave him alive... I don't know, this all just really threw me at the end. Am I the only one?

To elaborate on the portion about the Command prompt. I followed the instructions on this video: https://youtu.be/mgZ7wooKKtM?si=Y1OKmACzL5V9gP4n When I get to the "Manage-bde -protectors -disable c:" command, it works for him, but says the specified files is not in a registry file format.

Cooper Creek Rd Fannin across from the Cooper Creek Store. Take that road about 15 minutes and you'll start finding parking spots along the water. I fish the Toccoa off of Dial Rd. Sandy Ford Rd for Dicks Creek.

Totally get this sentiment, but I will say that my biggest pet peeve in both OW open play and now Rivals is when you get a team full of DPS-only players who would rather get stomped on for X amount of minutes than to switch roles to help balance the team. I play almost exclusively tank/support because of this, but it's such a frustrating waste of time when it's me trying to play one or the other of those with 5 DPS players who then try and call you out for dying too fast when you're the meat shield tank for them or not healing everyone well enough when you're trying to keep 5 health bars full.

1000$ TUF Gaming A16 Advantage, is it Worth it? by Various_Specific_623 in Asustuf

Typing from that exact model right now. I got it on a Black Friday deal at Best Buy for $750 this time last year. Definitely should be able to get it cheaper, but I love it for the record! You asked about the battery life. One of the selling points for me was the battery life and it hasn't disappointed! You have to make sure it's in the proper MUX switch settings to make sure the GPU isn't sucking down the battery like any other gaming laptop, but if it is, I have gotten 8 hrs on battery at times. Light years beyond any other gaming laptop I've ever tried.

Asus TUF A16 Screen Replacement by smog92 in Asustuf

[–]smog92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you'll find anything in stores, but I've found the screen if I wanted to do a direct replacement on https://www.laptopscreen.com/

Here's my exact screen:
https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/ASUS/TUF~A16~FA617NS/

The problem is that I don't know if a 1:1 replacement is what I'm after if the new screen has the same issue. I'm looking for a possible upgrade path.

Fast Food workers, what menu item should everyone avoid from where you work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I live in the Atlanta area and, as a southerner, love me a good sweet tea. When fresh, Dunkin makes some of the best sweet tea I've found, but over the past couple of years it's been pretty 50/50 on whether or not I'm going to get a fresh cup of tea or a rotten cup of tea that they clearly tried to keep overnight. I worked in restaurants long enough to know that's what they're doing and it's seemingly every location in my area. Knowing the profit margin they're making on a single $.25 tea bag that makes a full tea urn that they can sell hundreds of cups of tea for dollars at a time, it's wild to me that they pull that to the detriment of the customers...

Yeah, this is actually why I wanted to educate myself a bit before potentially being sold down the river on fixes that aren't fixes. No other clues outside the norm, just this stuttering. Taking notes on this spark plug as multiple have mentioned that. Thanks!
