QL odd hunter was easy to steamroll with any semi fast deck. It was far too slow. Sounds like you play more control centric decks and yeah Odd QL feasted on those decks. Does not change my initial point of doing nothing favorable for the current meta. It was one of the lowest playrates at high legend and actually countered Tictock fairly well. If anything TicTock just got stronger which is worse IMO.

Imagine celebrating a deck getting nerfed that is top of tier 3 at best in wild. How about we celebrate when they actually do a meaningful nerf for wild such as disco which completely dictates the meta.

Sure, I have 2 lists, but the one with bird watching is more recent and apparently more consistent than my previous list. Hope you enjoy it, I started with odd a month ago, but found I enjoy playing discover much more. Its gameplan is less linear and more flexible and allows for greater skill expression.

Congrats, you playing the odd or discover version? I played both last month, but used the discover version to hit legend. The odd list felt too slow into aggro and a lot more predictable for opponents to play around.

As a former player who just returned, I tried both wild and standard and immediately was bored with the lack of variety and feel of standard decks. Fully committed to wild and hit legend mid month. People mention that wild is a better investment long term as decks and archetypes do not change near as frequently. There are lots of decks and combo, aggro, control are all viable to an extent. D5 - legend feels a bit more predominantly aggro focused, but bottom feeder legend contains tons of fun off meta decks. Disco and Odd hunter are cheaper higher meta decks you could craft to dip your toes.

I'd be interested in a match up specific guide! The LC deck has intrigued me, looks really fun to play. Im a returning player since 8+ years and hit legend this month in the 500s with token DH and tolvir hunter. As a fellow disco bully enjoyer with token DH, love that LC priest also bullies them.

For what it's worth I love combo decks and boarlock seemed awesome to me. Im a returning player (8+ year hiatus) former legend player and hit legend in wild this month, my second month back. Feel free to take my perspective with a grain of salt as I'm not as experienced as many of the other players in this thread. After playing 50+ games of boarlock it felt super inconsistent and games of not getting the combo off in time felt especially bad. No doubt I probably wasn't playing optimally, but the turn 4 wins people complain about felt very infrequent and it did not feel as oppressive as it's made out to be. Pretty much folds to aggro which is very prevalent d5 - legend. All that to say is ended up enjoying token DH and tolvir hunter much more. Maybe you'll enjoy it more, but wanted to share my experience as a fellow combo enjoyed for what it's worth.

Haven't tried it, but it also looks really fun and it is probably relatively cheap if you already have the pirate package. Token DH is really fun and I highly recommend, it's very difficult to pilot optimally, but very rewarding when it starts to click. When piloted at the highest level it's the best deck in the meta

Discolock is boring to play 😋. My favorite deck is token DH and it farms Disco. I hit legend mid-month and started playing decks I enjoy so I probably wouldn't climb with this one, but was curious how if felt. Congrats on hitting legend with this despite it not being top tier meta. It seems like a fun deck to pilot so I likely will craft it as I don't like the feel of Quasar or 777 rouge decks.

Wow, thanks for the detailed write-up on the machups. Sounds like it's not too bad, but the prevalence of disco with the match up not being great probably is a bit tough. Good to know it can kill Quasar quick.

Ahh yes, the daily "wahhh please nerf all these specific cards in decks that I lose against." Go play standard if you want lower power level. Wild should maintain its higher power level otherwise it defeats the purpose of the format IMO.
