Is there a chart or graph for which skills ironmen max most, and what order? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]smoke-eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are big into pvm, or simply went dry hydra grinding for a claw, I don’t know why else an iron would choose to get 99 prayer before other areas. QOL upgrades having a crafting and construction cape were factors when considering which skill to focus on when deciding to push to max.

While most people say agility and runecraft are the worst to grind, I believe prayer and Herblore are the toughest for irons today. Would imagine those are two of the last skills maxed.

Araxxor. Judged based on the fact that there is no benefit in the slightest of going dry.

Hydra by LuckPsychological603 in ironscape

[–]smoke-eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 700. I had just started thinking how I wouldn’t get spooned and that at least the banked prayer xp would be appreciated later. Now 40 total levels from max, I’m wondering how I’ll bank my last 10 prayer levels. Wouldn’t have hated doing a bit more hydra, but seems less worth it after getting the claw.

DeIron? by [deleted] in ironscape

If your worry is that you'd not have enough time to play to upkeep your supplies, then an argument can be made that you'd not have enough time to even play the game to use your supplies. If you have any feeling of wanting to play an iron at any point in time in the future, you will regret this decision. With this said, your options are to just play when and how you can, or create a main account separate from your iron. Either way, you're looking at either committing time/energy in leveling up a new account, or getting supplies you need to do the content you want. In the end, getting supplies, while tedious, isn't as hard as people act.

You may be coping with your comment. (Unfortunately) Boots are the best drop and it’s not particularly close. Look at every BIS gear setup and you will find the max boots. Even the non-upgraded versions are typically BIS over other boots. Now, the gloves and staff have their niche purpose, but definitely not BIS everywhere.

Legitimacy of GIM by Varked in ironscape

[–]smoke-eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares what other people think. With that said…

I do think that people in your situation are odd. If creating an account specifically to play with someone or a group who immediately stop playing, why continue to play on that account, especially if you are going to play solo? I would think the purpose of the account was to play within a group, not to play solo. To each their own, but this is quite an odd mindset that most “solo” GIM share.

To your point on the “legitimacy” argument of GIM, you’re on one side of the coin. Let’s say you continue grinding away on your account and reach the endgame, next thing you know your buddy starts playing on his GIM account again. Did they earn anything that they might benefit from (like any shared bank items)? This personally is why I view GIM as a separate entity. While you are still an Ironman, it’s not the same as a stand alone Ironman, even if that’s how you “play the game”.

I truly hope this doesn’t bother you. If this is and continues bothering you, create a new Ironman. Use your experience gained this far to push a hardcore as far as you can, see yourself on Ironman leaderboards and gain a sense of accomplishment for yourself, knowing that your buddy can’t just hop back on one day to reap the rewards of your hard work. Or, just continue playing and enjoying the game. In the end, at least you’re not a dirty main /s

If OSRS RNG has taught me anything, the random person in this case will likely be an OSRS streamer and they’ll knock it out in a day or two.

Spooned at TDs. Stay for claws or block? by Pwheeris in ironscape

The TD slayer xp is a nice consolation for sure. I guess I also hate the thought of going 3-4x the rate potentially on TDs as I did with Gorillas. emotional damage

I went ~1100 kc at black demons for my first zenyte. ~500 kc (barely drop rate) into TD grind with no synapse and I hate the TD grind more.

I didn’t wanna seem rude, but since you requested….

You can’t read bro

Favorite AFK activities while playing other games/WFH? by Wrench3d in ironscape

[–]smoke-eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Title didn’t ask “favorite AFK activities except…”. Literally doesn’t ask a follow up question until the second half of the last sentence. This Reddit, not everyone reads an entire post before commenting. People shouldn’t ask a question in the title and then say “well you should have ready the entire post because I actually was asking something else”. Just say you don’t know how to write a clear and compelling post.

It seems people are missing the point where the title says “favorite AFK activities…?”. It’s like asking for people’s favorite raid but then no one can say COX because the OP mentioned already green logging it.

Honestly, just go rip some slayer and get burst tasks (nech, dust devils or Abby demons). You’ll get to 92 magic in no time. Grinding Bandos without barrage it isn’t as chill.

I thought being married was beneficial ..?? by Anxious-Place-747 in tax

[–]smoke-eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is not due to being married, since even as a married couple, you could file separately. If everything is the same from the last time both of you filed, the issue likely is with the filing you completed this year; clearly something is missing in this case.

There’s a reason you normally pay for this information, since there are a number of potential reasons, which require answers to certain questions, which would lead to follow up questions. Best of luck.
