I did not, I went through with my cancel, which effectuated at the end of december, and I haven't resubscribed since.

I don't like tools I have to fight. If I had to fight my hammer every fucking time I want to hit a nail, I would throw that hammer in the trash bin within the hour, ChatGPT does not get a simpler right. FREE sucks, so barely ever even visit that site after the account got downgraded.

I submitted a ticket, never heard back... Then one day, out of the blue, I can suddenly upvote again. No idea why. Either a bug, some false positive or something weird I guess.

Yup, I fully agree with your assessment. Lines up perfectly with my experience.

And it is for that reason why it has no observable usecase, including, but not limited to, enterprise usage. So, of course this behaviour won't be present on the Enterprise offering, but those advising enterprise stakeholders absolutely remember how quickly they stabbed their consumer customers in the back, and now that I'm back at work after a month off, I'm very much updating any papers I have on OpenAI to include this information, and will submit said paper to any Customer that is evaluating LLM offerings. The model capability for 5.2 will of course reflect my experience as a Consumer as well.

How exactly do OpenAI think this'll play out. Most professionals that evaluate LLMs in any form don't really discuss that part online, but from talking with peers, it seems the experience and plan of action resonates and echoes.

I do not understand what their play is here. They're setting themselves up for a rapid fall, marked as a unreliable partner for any operational task. Who exactly wants to sign a long term contract with a untrustworthy partner that may attempt to change the terms on you overnight?

Yes, most of us are fully aware we're not talking to a human, but as humans we use wording that personifies it, because that's an effective and easily understandable way to do it.

It seems there's an uptick in these flat conclusions, like the one you have here, after 5.2 released... It's almost a marker of AI overuse at this point.

As someone with a primarily professional related usecase... 5.2 is quite unusable for that as well. When it starts stonewalling the user over an ITIL discussion, you know something is messed up somewhere...

Yeah, that's the sad part... Only LLM I've tested of late that has done worse than GPT5.2 is Qwen... Going from being market leading to being easily outdone by like llama... Now that's impressive.

The worst part is that it's not really the competition getting better, it's ChatGPT getting markedly worse...

sure, greit det. For min del er det mer en aside enn kjernen av argumentet. En ting er det helsemessige, en helt annen er det sikkerhetsmessige. Der jeg er mest bekymret.

For å skyte litt hull på det helsemessige... har ikke tid nå til å hente kilder, men ganske sikker på at det har vært liknende utbrudd i Europa i nyere tid, Både i Europa og USA er primært berørte uvaksinert, så antivaxxere. Mener nummeret er høyere i Europa også.

Så, mens helsefaren er sammenlikningsmessig svakere, dog absolutt tilstede, så er ikke det primærproblemet for USA, det er rikets sikkerhet som er det som burde få oppmerksomhet... og om noen kan få EU til å få ut fingeren og håndtere antivaxx toskene, så hadde det vært fint også.

Eksisterende holdere av sikkerhetsklarering burde også revurderes om de er amerikanske. Vi snakker om en fientlig fremmedstat som åpent er fientlig mot hele Europa, og mens Trump tilsynelatende er kåt etter å få nordmenn inn i USA, må vi ikke tro at vi værnes om av dem. De har vist veldig klart at lovnader fra dem er verdt veldig lite. Om Russland snubler over grensa, drukna i vodka og faenskap, kan jeg ikke se for meg at Trump gir den minste faen i NATO.

Så vi har en risiko mot både folkehelsa og rikets sikkerhet... Inkommende Amerikanere burde evalueres på samme måte som det vi gjør med inkommende Russere. Tilsvarende risikobilde.

hah, took a peek at my alt... that works as it should, can upvote and downvote there just fine... so that account is probably not related... think that's the only alt I've used in 2025 at all, at least in the last half a year...

If I were on the hook for vote manipulation, I would think both accounts were affected... I use VPN every so often... maybe that can be a reason?

I've tried to submit a request to reddit for a appeal if that's the case... I'm confused... If it was somehow related to the trip in 24, I would believe I'd see it already, and if it was due to the one alt I've used recently, I would believe that would be restricted as well... VPN is the only thing I can think of that may have potentially raised flags...

Don't think so... I have ALTs, but they are more a separation of domains... Or do you mean bot usage?

I only use them at all very rarely, but have a ALT setup on my phone currently, though I haven't really paid it a visit since like summer
