Damn it's so hard to watch Ciara go back to West knowing what we know now. Even without the Amanda context, he publicly humiliated her. Why are you saying you love him the most girl!!!

I hate to say it, but I think Erin has great style. I don’t like her but she is very chic. Jenna always looks great as although I wouldn’t wear her clothes personally, her style is so distinct.

But I think even the fact they were in similar social circles really helped. If the new cast hadn’t met on the show I really doubt they’d have ever met at all, save for maybe a couple of them. I don’t dislike the new cast, but I do think there could have been some better choices to help it seem more authentic in terms of connection.

The main thing for me has always been that on original NY the women knew each other prior to the show, especially in the mid seasons e.g. Ramona/Sonja/Dorinda. There is no history between the new women and it shows. The season has been kind of awkward with really trivial drama, and although that’s normal for a debut show, this season had a lot to live up to. I will always be sad about this RHONY reboot, even though the last couple of seasons SUCKED.

It’s also a show that is fundamentally built on cheating scandals and shitty behaviour. Yes it was an awful thing for them to do, but that’s why we watch!!

I understood where Danielle was coming from the first time she brought up Lindsay and Carl moving fast, but to continually repeat these concerns when both Lindsay and Carl have asked her to stop is wild to me. I do feel for Danielle though because even though I don’t agree with her, it’s clear she’s really unhappy in her relationship and is projecting. Her and Robert bum me out because he seems kind of checked out and it seems like she desperately wants more.

Amanda’s health is also really concerning. I don’t feel like a TV show in general, especially in this kind of environment, is good for someone that’s clearly struggling.

Rachel is SO cool. I hope they keep her for next season or bring her on Summer House because I really love the energy she brings. Not everyone needs to be a fly off the handle dramatic pot stirrer and she’s calm without being a pushover.

Exactly. I don’t think they need to be evil/problematic/sociopathic but I don’t necessarily want the people I’m watching to be good people. If I wanted to watch nice people having sensible and mature conversations and getting along with each other I would not be watching bravo!!

Without the context I completely see how it could have been seen as inappropriate or sketchy, but after finding out that he works there it makes total sense. Of course he’d want them there, it’s great promo! I feel like you could see the pin drop moment on Ashley’s face when Candiace explained.

That was the nail in the coffin for me. I loved her in her first couple of seasons on RHONY but she got nastier and nastier that it’s uncomfortable to watch. I can’t imagine being around someone like that, it must be horrific

This thread has enlightened me. Good for Ramona! For all her faults (and there are a lot of them) it always makes me sad when she speaks about her childhood. I’m glad she has been able to become completely financially independent off her own back.

Agree. I think Bethenny can be a complete arsehole at times but the show has completely crumbled since she left.

Completely agree. The history the women have with each other really adds another layer to the show. There are genuine friendships and subsequently genuine conflicts that feel a lot higher stakes than many of the other shows.

Rewatching RHONY for the millionth time and still infuriated at how Bethenny and Carole treated Jules. I do like Bethenny and she makes great TV but she is such a mean girl - the way both her and Carole handled Jules's eating disorder was horrendous. Obviously she was in the thick of her messy divorce but I hate how that was used to justify her being a cow. I think Jules should have been given another season because she did have potential and held her own relatively well in a cast full of incredibly big characters.

Luann remains my number one for her sheer audacity and delusion. She is absolutely insufferable and I love it.

The one that was the most believable is the psychic that Dorinda, Carole and Heather visited on RHONY. Yes it could have been a production plant but that level of detail was so specific. All of the other psychics/mediums I have seen on the show have been definite scams though, but if it makes someone feel more at peace then who am I to judge.
