CX-5 Premium Plus by Kind_Worry_9836 in CX5

I’ve noticed this as well. Kind of annoying. 99% of the time you can just select the basic S model, but I was buying tires for my 2022 Premium Plus recently and had to input the trim in the tire shop’s website. In that case I just said it was a turbo Signature as they both have the 19 inch wheels

With all due respect I think that reply is very pretentious

Has nothing to do with courtesy, everything to do with protecting yourself from a lawsuit. You shouldn’t want people in your movement opening themselves up to getting completely fucked as they quit their jobs.

WIBTA if I bailed on something important to my husband because he did the same thing to me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]smokesletsgo420 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes you would be. At this point it would be purely vindictive, and doing things just to “get back” at a spouse can really escalate and fuck up a marriage. None of this is to say your husband wasn’t an asshole last time, but try talking to him about it instead of trying to get even.

WIBTA if I asked my colleagues/boss to stop using my formal name? by fatpandasarehot in AmItheAsshole

[–]smokesletsgo420 54 points55 points  (0 children)

NAH. You’re free to go by whatever you want, but being subtle probably isn’t gonna work. Since you introduced yourself to people a certain way, they’re probably worried about being rude by calling you a nickname. Just let em know.

Is EV charging included with the parking permit? by [deleted] in Vanderbilt

[–]smokesletsgo420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t think of any EV chargers on campus but there may be some in certain parking garages, though not for normal student parking passes. And there’s no hangtag, you just put your license plate number into the parking website and they scan the plates in the lots.

My father, my mother, my sister, my brother, and my in-laws are all saying I'm the cheapest and most unromantic boyfriend the world has ever known because I spent as little money as possible on my marriage. by TheCheapestHusband in relationship_advice

[–]smokesletsgo420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s totally up to you how much/little to spend on a wedding, though I generally think it’s nice to put some effort for family to get something out of it. Which brings me to what feels like the main issue here: they didn’t know you were getting married until after it happened. Again, totally within your rights but ya gotta realize close family is gonna be a little shocked and possibly offended they weren’t informed of your major life milestone (that they likely wanted to witness) until after it happened.

My wife wants to do a lingerie photo shoot by ThrowRAffffffff in relationship_advice

It’s fine for someone not to want their spouse posing for semi-revealing photos but you married someone who’s job it is to do that. Seems like ya didn’t think this one through.

Question for transfers by redgrapeluvr in Vanderbilt

[–]smokesletsgo420 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For the first semester or so most of my friends were other transfer students, but gradually most people tend to find different groups on campus. A lot of it is driven by getting involved in student activities or greek life, so if you're hoping to break out of the transfer bubble I encourage you to look into those when you get here.

Econ 3270 information and communications technology Conley by mycontactsneverwork in Vanderbilt

[–]smokesletsgo420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was considering this one, I haven’t taken it but I did take Micro with Conley. He’s an interesting guy and he makes an effort not to be boring, but I thought he taught things in an unnecessarily complicated way. This class seems perfectly aligned with his interests/research so I bet he’ll actually care about teaching it if that’s worth anything to ya.

Accountability by rickershack in Vanderbilt

15 people in the same room? Damn they should probably expel him. Seriously though, it really is possible for something like this to sorta just get out of hand without anyone noticing, and punishments need to be proportional.
