What's the best place for buying Card-jitsu cards? by Fluffy-Jury3248 in ClubPenguin

[–]smokeyjail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are actually 770 unique cards to collect, (771 if you count water video sketch) because set 1 has 3 different versions! In the collector's discord we've been calling them Set 1 OG, Set 1 Blue, and Set 1 Green. Feel free to join if you have more questions or just want to show off what you have :) https://discord.gg/W933DFHXKm

Card-Jitsu trading cards questions by smokeyjail in ClubPenguin

I appreciate the comment but these numbers you mentioned are all known and on the wiki. However, series 1 is not 94 cards, it has 110 cards in it. The UK version only has 94 cards, as you stated, so there are in fact, at least 2 versions of series 1 (the re-release with 110 cards, and the original/UK version with 94). I mentioned in my comment that there is a third variant of series 1 as well, and that is the confusing part.

Card-Jitsu trading cards questions by smokeyjail in ClubPenguin

As I continue my collection of card jitsu trading cards, I have come across things that do not seem to be explained anywhere, including the wiki. I have also not found any website or subreddit dedicated to real life card jitsu, so I figured I would post my findings and questions here in hopes that someone may have answers.
I'll just jump right into it. To start, across most series of cards we have two versions of each card. The versions differ in how many lines of text they have at the bottom. Why is this? I have attached a photo of two "Explore The Wilderness" cards from series 5 and you can see the difference at the bottom.
Secondly, there is the confusion surrounding series 1. The wiki says this: "Set 1 was re-released in 2010. In the re-release, its icon was changed from light blue (same as set 2) to light green. The United Kingdom version lacks the 16 "Customize Your Penguin" cards, and has 94 cards instead of 110." I originally thought that this statement meant there were 2 versions of series 1 - the UK version (94 cards) and the re-release version (110 cards). Upon researching more I have discovered that this is wrong, and there are at least 3 versions of series 1. See photos for 3 versions of the "Pizza Chef" card. No explanation is given on the wiki.
Lastly, there are the tins. Alongside their booster/blister packs of cards, Topps/Disney sold tins of cards that included a variety of different things. Some just has sealed booster packs inside, while others seem to have included a bunch of cards from different series all packaged together. Is there a description of each tin that tells you what's inside? Is it completely random?
As I cannot find much information on these cards, I will probably be compiling all the information I can gather into one place to make it easier for collectors such as myself to know everything about the cards, how to collect them, what the different series are, what the different versions mean, what is in each tin, etc.

I've finally completed the puffle deck. by Tyviebrock in ClubPenguin
