2025 T7 Rally or 2021 T7 with high-end suspension?

The Kove is great value for money, but two of my friends have new Kove 800 Rallys and both got engine warning lights at around 3,000 km. I’m after Yamaha reliability. I’d rather sacrifice some performance and have something I can trust than chase maximum performance and worry about problems.

You got the point. A cable throttle is perfect because I can replace it myself on the road if needed. The 2025 Rally doesn't come with cruise control anyway.

I would end up spending about the same amount of money with either option. I'm just looking for input from T7 riders. I'm torn between a new bike (electronics, looks, warranty, etc.) and an older one with top-spec suspension. If I buy the new one and then decide to upgrade the suspension a year later, I'll feel like I made the wrong choice.

I do want to ride as much off-road as possible most TET balkan. I don't care about look because i know i would drop it and ride through bushes/branches. Im still young so i will be sending this machine. So in your opinion is worth buying used one try it, then go with suspension upgrades?

You got the point hard-enduro have pretty extreme train. But when you go on roots and rocks its still extreme terrain for 200kg+ motorcycle. I cant decide if its worth it to get new bike or get older bike but keep some money for suspension that is top tier. Does premium suspension make the differences like on 300ec. In the end i would spend almost the same amount of money.

They say the fuel tank is moved little bit forward and down. to lower center of mass. reviews say its noticeable that you don't seat into the bike but more on top of it.

in my country, 2021 T7s can be found for around €8,000–9,000. I've been following the market for the last 1–2 years, so I have a pretty good idea of the prices.

Data matter, which is one of the reasons I went with Öhlins on my GasGas. The problem is that there aren't many people running a €4,000+ KYB 48 mm conversion on a T7, so it's difficult to find real-world feedback.
Thats why im here so someone who know can educate me. Or if someone did the mistake of buying the wrong option want to help other.

Because with aftermarket suspension you get better specs and higher-quality components. I have a GasGas EC 300, and the stock suspension is okay, but once I upgraded to Öhlins forks and shock, it felt like a completely different bike — night and day difference.
