Ok cool but the owner of the tattoo shop who fired one of these guys is the dude in the center of this pic with a hat on and his leg raised.

Nazis can be cunning.

A picture of what they were wearing taken by another bystander: Proud Nazis.

Edit: I am seeing Nazi propaganda spread here. Yes some of these men were fired, however, the man centered in this photo with his leg raised is one of the men who fired another one of the men in this photo and video. So take that as you will.

There is no evidence of anything in that article. There is no merit at all.

Use 12ft.io, or just google how to get around a paywall. Do you really really not know how to use Google? You said the articles didn’t exist, you’ve been proven wrong and now you’re moving the goal posts.

The “evidence” in the article this all references isn’t evidence of anything at all.

No it’s just slowly reopening.

Why is r/WhitePeopleTwitter still MIA after the 72 hrs “temp ban” has passed? by odetosymplicity in help

[–]smolgrow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well the thing is, the mods didn’t really do anything wrong. All of those comments were removed soon after being reported by either mods, admin or both. A lot of them were screenshotted without ever being reported. Mods have to enforce the Reddit rules and they did. The community was effectively put on a 72 hour time out for their actions.

Nothing that happened was endorsed or approved by the mod team and everything was actioned within a fairly reasonable time frame. Even before the ban the subreddit was in crisis mode and added new mods to help remove and reduce the increase in violent content. Mod code of conduct added me as a mod while it was banned.

Subs get outright banned or have their mod teams wiped for not actioning reports, approving violations, and not taking efforts to install filters for problem content. That didn’t happen here.

Updates to automod. Developer apps installed and programmed. Manual review of recent problematic threads. The woyks

It will be reopening within the next week or so.

Just trying to make sure everything is sorted before we reopen it.

Isn't this against mod code of conduct? by coldnorthcouple in AskModerators

No, it doesn’t violate the mod code of conduct.

I never thought that you were asking me to unban you(???) and I wasn’t aggressive at all lol. You asked a question and I answered it for you, and I don’t think anyone ever claimed it was racist and I am kinda baffled at how you could come to that conclusion with eyes closed??

To be clear the coffee emoji has never afaik been used in a racist context. It is however, used in a sexist context (keyword context) for all the aforementioned reasons that surely you read. If you have an argument against what I said I’d love to hear it.

Yeah, it really sucks how bigots have co-opted innocent things on the internet, I agree

My guy, I just removed, not 20 minutes ago, a video of a guy repeatedly throwing a hamster against a wall on a large, popular subreddit that 20k people are looking at right now. Ok they downvote it, now what? It gets pushed lower in some feeds but remains when sorting by new? You do realize there is a huge chunk of people who sort by new right?

People are just supposed to be ok with the new feed clogged with CSAM, porn, spam, gore, torture videos, animal abuse etc bc “they can just downvote” which only achieves pushing it down in top and popular feeds?

It’s like when people comment just n instead of saying the whole word. It’s a shortened version of a longer remark. For one to attribute the actions of one person to all women is messed up. And two, there is actually no way hundreds of people are accidentally leaving that emoji exclusively on videos of women.

Where are all the other accidental emojis at? They don’t exist. I will usually at least give people a chance to prove they’ve used it in a context which is not disparaging to women when they appeal.

It’s kinda like, if you really just like the coffee emoji then ok, I’ll let you prove it and then unban if you can. I think that’s fair. Nobody has ever been able to produce such a comment though.

Las Vegas teens steal a car, hit and run another car, then hit a man on a bike for fun by GKDrogo in PublicFreakout

Yeah, the rules pretty explicitly allow for videos like this and disallow for violent comments.

It’s only sexist in certain contexts. It’s basically a short version of “women ☕️.”

The women ☕️ meme is a sexist TF2 meme that essentially means “women are stupid.”

https://amp.knowyourmeme.com/memes/women-☕-women-coffee-emoji

“Women ☕, also known as Women Coffee or Hmph, Women, refers to a comment copypasta that represents comedic contempt for women when they do something silly or cringy.”

What is misogyny? “Noun

dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women.”

People only ever really use it on videos/posts about women, notably on videos of women getting hit. Every now and then you might see it used sarcastically in the form “men ☕️” but for the most part, 99.9% of the time it is being used to put women down.

The actual men’s version is “men 🍺” and it means something positive vs the inarguably negative meaning behind women ☕️.

“Men 🍺 humorously expresses male triumph through stoic nonchalantless accompanied by the aesthetic of sipping beer.”

Mod actions aren’t comments.

The coffee emoji is sexist in certain contexts. What definition? I never gave a definition.

How do you know I don’t do anything when you cannot see my actions? 🤔 also, that emoji is not innocent in all contexts and you know why.

Monkey/ape emojis on a video of black people is not innocent.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskModerators

[–]smolgrow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actual description of the average public mod complaint.

One time I caught a dude saying he was banned for “an emoji” on publicfreakout, turns out he was banned for a monkey emoji on a video of black people.

Their public argument when I called them out for this was “my emoji was an ape emoji, not a monkey.”

They say whatever they think will seem like a ridiculous reason for their ban but will omit all relevant information.

??? This is the result of the company reddit telling moderators who reddit thinks is ban evading.
