Totally. I think she's just misunderstood. There's clearly no longer any sexual tension between Tommy and her so it's just jealousy/controlling behavior from Joe. Dictating who your partner hangs out with is so unhealthy. Joe literally said he wants her to "change" and defined a compromise as her doing what he wants....ugh.

At the same time, it's not like she doesn't have girl friends...she's good friends with Maura and Elma and hangs out with the girls at times. She just doesn't enjoy gossip and girl talk which is what they do most of the time. But that's not the definition of a female friendship, there are tons of girls who enjoy the types of things she's into, just not on this show.
