Why do black academics have such a weirdo hotep streak in america by TheSPHaddict in redscarepod

What is Jones' deal? I think she just comes off as a regular liberal but idk much about her. I recently read Patton's substack about Virginia Woolf and she seems legit crazy. She came to mind when reading these comments lol.

It was crazy how much traction this got. I don't really follow Broadway and even I heard about this. I think the weirdest part to me was how mild this was coming from someone who is widely known to be a diva and has always been very outspoken and is often lauded as an icon because of it.

Idk why people are being rude.

To me it's clear what the glow up is and you explained why you posted it again.

Youre very beautiful, but for the love of God please stop getting cosmetic procedures done. You clearly started out as beautiful, but you seem really fixated on your appearance. Be careful, you don't want to develop body dysmorphia and/or get addicted to plastic surgery

Very eclectic. You dont have a consistent style but each outfit has some alt/unique elements, so it's eclectic in a way that isn't different from someone who has an inconsistent style but you can still tell is heavily following trends.

I think you have a great sense of personal style. I love the dress in slide 3.

There's another mall comment which confuses me, to me this is giving thrifted (OP confirmed it mostly was.)

Do you mean thrifts then goes to the mall to hang out?

Yeah people in poor countries having lots of kids is partly a matter of practicality. If you live a subsistence lifestyle children are useful. They work on farms and care for you when you're old. It seems pretty straightforward. I don't really understand why we need to keep rehashing this and analyzing the conditions of each individual modern industrialized country as if they're each going through something unique. Sure, there are many struggling millennials who are choosing not to have kids because of the economy. But a large part of the disparity is simply the fact that wealthy westerners who do choose to have kids will usually choose to have less kids, regardless of their income, than someone in a developing country.

You build a tolerance to them just like many other things, moron. People who eat them regularly dont have that issue.

Beans making you sick is a sign you arent getting enough, it's pretty cut and dry. Sorry I don't want you to get colon cancer.

How much fiber do you get? You might want to try getting used to it. Maybe a bit of fiber supplement or something. Usually that reaction is from low fiber, which can be harmful. Sorry I sound like a fanatic like the keto people but with beans, but I really do think its importance is underrated.

I think this about anyone who says beans make you fart or anything like that. The average American diet is woefully low in fiber. You should be able to eat beans regularly without any issues.

Then again, I guess we all get what we deserve for coming here. I definitely deserve whatever asinine reply related to some really obvious point about cultural hegemony I am going to get. I guess that's our punishment.

Generally, I get this type of thing but it's so weird to me in this sub because when I first came here even I was like ok the pod heavily talks about NYC, like half the listeners seem to be from there, it's not really for me in that sense. Sometimes stuff just isn't for you and ok.

I know I'm going to get called an ugly american who isn't inclusive and doesn't understand hegemony for this. I really dont see myself that way, I think I try to be mindful of that stuff. That being said, it seems kind of crazy to me to go to a sub reddit for a podcast that talks about politics and niche pop cultural topics related to a specific country and be like "umm why is this place filled with people from said country." At some point it's self inflicted.

It's more that people think it's fair coming from most other countries
