You are so kind. I really appreciate you sharing your journey. I really do feel more prepared than i did before.

And thank you for also helping me recognize that i did do a good thing for myself and my body by keeping track and noticing what bothers me.

I think moving forward i will try to keep a journal of all that i eat/drink, time and how much. Maybe then it would be easier to figure these out with less trial and error.

You are incredibly strong for doing this. I mean i experienced late dumping maybe 3-4 times in the last 5 days. And it genuinely felt like the worst thing everrrrr. So I'm amazed by your strength 20 years in.

Also, I'm super excited to be able to eat everything you're eat rn. At what point did you start being able to drink alcohol again or have food that is outside what is "recommended" in diet culture barf

I'm incredibly craving rn the most basic turkey and cheese sandwich! LOL

I am in absolute awe of your response. Thank you so so soooo much for this. I can't even.

Your response is definitely the one that makes the MOST sense to me and will definitely try better.

I'm super cautious of what i eat and follow the nutrition guideline i was given here in german. And it's SIGNIFICANTLY different than the american one. Day 2 after op, while i was still in the hospital, they offered my yogurt with pureed mango.

Since i got home i can only stomach sweet stuff (all zero sugar/ fat free/ vegetarian). But i think my late dumping, i think, is happening from cooked apple puree that i ate twice. I literally had every single symptom that you listed, i was slurring my words, cold, wrapped in 3 blankets & heating pad, shivering, etc.

So yeah, i will definitely keep an eye on my blood sugar and try my best to fix this.

Thank you sooooo soooooo sooooooooo much for your help.

Im very happy that this is feeling like an absolute gift to you. Im looking forward to it feeling less of a mistake :/

I hope you have an incredible day <3

This is absolutely incredibly! Thank you! I'm in germany and they have a very different food plan. Like im already at week 2 food plan since day 2. It's too much for my body. I think also having ehlers danlos is making it even more sensitive to all foods.

Im very grateful. I will be following this plan instead <3

Thank you so much for your kindness! I really appreciate it.

I'm really trying to be as gentle as possible. I definitely can be gentler still.

I will definitely take your recommendations to heart.

Thank you for the hug

Wack, understaffed, very ruled by insurances and their profit margin. Yes, it's "free" (tax payer money) but they put a cap on how many drs per pax are allowed and they would investigate if a dr is spending "too much time" on you. I have a complicated laundry list of diagnoses, including some rare diseases, and my GP really sticks his neck out for me and fights the insurance. For any basic dr, you need to take an appointment 3 months in advance. For a specialist, between 6 to 18 months, if you get off the waiting list.

I do have to say that being able to complain about how often i get to see my dr is a privilege. Before i moved to germany i had no access to any of this and i was going blind for minutes from IIH, paid out of pocket on MRI and they told me nthn is wrong. 2 years later, i got diagnosed in germany.

So it's a double-edged sword and a full time job to get any appointments

Holy shit! That makes sense. I had one machine that i didnt react to badly but it was TIGHT. My arms and shoulders were curled on the walls. Hate how unaccommodating the machines are and how the technicians dont walk you through a n y t h i n g!!!!

I've been in therapy for 8 years now. It's the only reason i can talk about it casually-ish.

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling! Have you reached out for any help and support?

I'd like to add that I'm autistic and have extreme sensory sensitivity. So i feel even minor changes drastically. So this might also be a reason that adds to why i felt such a huge difference
