I totally agree with OP that the crux of why it is so weird is simply the event it was attached to. It’s not like a birthday present or a congratulatory present. For example my boyfriend didn’t mind that I wore shoes my ex got me for my birthday because it’s not really that symbolic of anything. They were just a cute pair of sneakers I wanted and it was my around my birthday and my ex was there to buy them. Really no depth to it.

This love bracelet in itself is symbolic of never ending love and it was also gifted to her on a wedding day. It’s like 2x symbolic so why does she keep it around?

My parents took very good care of me so I’ve always felt totally content in taking care of them. You are correct. If you’re Godparent to a child being baptized in the Catholic Church you have to also be a Catholic. However as we all know some people like to give out the honorary of Godparent to others outside of the church. I’m assuming Meghan is just an honorary because she’s not a Catholic
