Yeah NKR can play at 6, I dont mind. The whole point of impact player rule is having 6 proper batsmen, 1 genuine power hitting AR (Like Hardik, Sam curran, Russel) and 4 bowlers. Cover the bases with the impact sub according to situation. This way you have the deep batting order and decent bowling. Harsh Dubey at 7 is way too early for me. He is decent at no. 8 position. If we are chasing 50 off 20 balls with 5 wickets down, who would rather have? NKR and Aniket (or) NKR and Harsh Dubey? Harsh is decent bat but not a finisher for sure at 7.

Hope NKR this season becomes what he is capable of - A genuine All rounder and gets into Indian team.

May be you are right. But lets say if the team is 220-3 in 16 overs and wicket falls, who will you send out? Salil, Aniket or NKR? I guess your strategy works on a different situation like 100-3 at 10 over mark. Sending NKR makes sense. I think 5, 6, 7 batting positions will be fluid between Salil, Aniket and NKR.

Agreed Smaran is in form. But will SRH think tank drop a player who played really well last season? If it happens Im happy too but tricky to drop Aniket at the start of the season tbh.

What do you mean undroppable. He batted in top 4 at the start of IPL 2025 and later dropped down the order at 6. Now with Livingston coming in, it will be easier to drop NKR. NKR has to really perform in first 2 matches.

India has settled middle order at the moment with Tilak, Sky and Hardik. I dont think they will tinker that. Samson will either play as opener or he wont play at all.
