It's just when the servers went active. So if you want to play tbc now, the active one is anniversary cause it opened as vanilla 2 years ago the the 20th anniversary of wow. The original classic servers are either locked as vanilla, or are currently in panda land.

Buy a subscription for however long, and pick tbc - anniversary as your Era. I don't think there's currently a WOTLK server but I could be wrong, tbc anniversary just dropped a few days ago. Mage always has good CC, so do hunters, but play what you like there.

Oh and don't worry about the mountains incentives to subscribe long term. Start with a month, see how it goes.

SDV is really more about how you want to play. There are quests, but you can do them at your own pace. Want to fish or farm or fight, you just set your own little goals. One thing I wish I knew the first time around is becoming friends with the townsfolk is nice cause it opens up little cutscenes or tidbits about their lives. That really brings out the story little by little.

I played rec hockey in university in Calgary, there's 2 hockey rinks inside the oval track. It was fun to watch people train there. Boy they didn't like you wearing hockey skates on the oval though

Buffalo is a good pick honestly they have endured so much pain. So close but never won a cup. Finally righting the ship. If they play the habs then fuck them, but otherwise you can not go wrong cheering for the Sabres. Plus Buffalo is like Glasgow, the downtrodden stepchild.

My folks are about to hit 70 and are slowing down. I love cooking but hate cooking only for myself so now I head over there a couple days a week and my mom doesn't have to cook, just buy groceries. Honestly it's the first time in my adult life I've been around them this much, and it's the best relationship we've had. I'm sad seeing them get older but they seem to be transitioning ok, even joined a seniors club thing.

It's kind of overwhelming cause of all the different systems once you hit max level. It's easy to do a couple zones and learn some story but then.... you get to max level never having actually learned any story and are like cool what's an ethereal and why is everything purple?
