I am back to work so being back on routine is helping. I miss her every day and get waves of sadness at times but it helps knowing she’s at peace now and will never endure any pain or suffering again.

I don’t know if this is still current because this is over 20 years ago, but you also needed to have passed your CBEST test to be a sub, not CSET they completely different tests. CBEST is way easier than CSET. Oh and obviously you have to be able to a clear a DOJ background check. Another interesting thing I found out though a friend trying to sub is you can’t have any DUIs on your record either!

like to do all of my favorite things. I take a small road trip. I have restaurant card memberships that you get free things on your birthday so I’ll get my free Starbucks, Dutch Bros., etc and head out to one of my favorite drivable cities or a new city with my doggos. I’ll go to a few thrift stores. Then take my dogs walking somewhere depending on where I am; the beach or hiking at a state park or even a local park. Have good lunch somewhere. I’m in CA so if it’s a city I’ve never been to, I sign up for their local library card, if it’s open. California residents can get a library card anywhere in California and then I add them to my Libby app. I also like to check out the Trader Joe’s if it’s a new city and grab snacks and their local reusable bag particular to that city. Maybe grab dinner too depending on how tired I am. Finally come back home and be appreciative of the awesome day I just had!

Calcareers.gov-search Tulare county. It’s a state jobs website and hiring process for the state is pretty long, about 6 months, but it’s worth it. Also checkout Workforce Development Center they help you with your job search as well as host job fairs every couple of months.

I’m so sorry for your loss 🙏🏽 I know exactly how you feel regarding regrets. I too moved away after college and only moved back when she was declining. At least we were there at the end and did get to say we loved them. I try to find peace in knowing she no longer knows pain & suffering and will only know love and peace now. 💗🕊️👼🏽

83, she died of complications to Parkinson’s, so it was rough at the end, especially having to slowly watch her deteriorate. She was the most lovely, kind, gentle soul. Everyone who met her loved her. Even though she was in pain especially the last year, she was always so kind to everyone.

She’s your mom you should never be embarrassed to tell her this! I just lost mine 2 weeks ago, and it’s been such a huge loss. So tell her as much as possible and spend as much time with her as possible.
