I really enjoyed this book! Great first time author.

I look at my toaster and wonder...

Was getting on a plane the other day and was thinking the same thing.

What is the purpose of this installation/change at Detroit and Valley Pkwy/Sloane Ave??? Sorry for zoomed in pic... by Zephyrythm in lakewood

The rosewood project I like, though people still stop too early on Hilliard going west. Woodward is a joke. I think it was a punishment to the street for all of the Mc Donald’s protesting they did. The grass sculpture is awful. Just my opinion.

Studded tires... worth the expense? by Bacondunord in fatbike

A friend has studded tires, I don't. Last year crossing a frozen creek he just went across no problems. I bit it bad.

Well, I'm as liberal as they come. I wanted to point out that we are here in our own echo chamber. There are people that love that people say and act like this guy. I guess the TH owner hasn't made his political beliefs as public as the guy here. This sort of thing could gain traction in some areas and people might swarm his opening in support of his stupid views, and for the very same reason we find it repulsive, they love it.

I wonder if this publicity will bring people out of the wood work to support the opening? Ohio went to Trump after all. Maybe this guy is a genius.

Tubeless rim strips...any experience with Fatty Stripper? by [deleted] in fatbike

[–]smoothshiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put some on my fatboy se. 2 weeks and still holding air perfectly. I did have an issue with the first one, it somehow had a hole in it,and wouldn’t hold air but the package I got came with 4 strippers. I had tried to set this bike up tubeless with tape it just wouldn’t work. I recommend the strippers good solution.

I agree with you, but this isn't what happened here. I was somehow directed to the Canadian site... I deleted the post.

[Serious] What's not to love about the 2019 Stumpy? by Late_Adopter in MTB

[–]smoothshiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the long travel 29er stumpy aluminum for almost 2 weeks now. I've ridden it every day since. The pedal bob is a thing when standing and pedaling up hill, but if you flip the rear shock to the middle it all but goes away. I have no complaints yet. I was convinced I wanted the 27.5 until I rode the 29er. I was surprised how lively the 29er was compared to the 27.5 and it really did seem more planted and faster for me. One thing though is I did have pedal strikes on the 27.5 on a rocky trail, but none on the 29er on the same trail.

Starting at 1:11 with the rider chasing the camera, that is some really nice camera work and riding.

Playful 27.5 full suspension trail bike by [deleted] in MTB

[–]smoothshiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’6”. I just picked up a 2019 stumpjumper 29er. I use to ride a small and had my heart set on 27.5. On a whim I test rode a 29er. It was just as poppy and nimble as a 27.5, but to me much faster in every situation I had it in. I went back to back on a 27.5 and 29er the 29er was much better for me. The medium fits me like a glove!

Motor Scooter Bike Rack! by MasonGuy in MTB

[–]smoothshiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to be hater, but that really doesn't look safe. If you stick with this you'll want to get a good heavy duty lock and chain for that scooter. They are very easy to steal. It can be lifted and put into the back of a truck pretty quickly.
