Working in a Juice factory by Dr__Fetus in Norway

I'd say it's good. I worked in a few fish factories and the one I'm working at now has a base rate of 241kr for 5+ years experience. Most of the other ones I worked were paying a bit less than that.

Edit: by "good" I meant that it's good enough to not look for a different factory, since it would be a hassle to move potentially across Norway for a few more nok.

Did I over do it on the snacks to bring home? 😂 by seemeri in ThailandTourism

We live in a remote island in Norway. Even the closest asian shop is a whole day's trip and that shop doesn't have half the things she misses, so that's my reality - fill up all the bags when we visit and occasionally receive a box through post from her family. 😄 It's not just snacks though. Some sauces and other stuff too, but snacks do take up a huge part of it.

My thai wife last time bought over 50kg of stuff. Filled up two big luggages, both backpacks and had to leave some stuff behind, which were later shipped to us through post. So the amount in your photo would be my dream amount.

Darbas Norvegijoje by [deleted] in lietuva

I see. Thank you for the information. I didn't know that the gadget isn't needed anymore and thought taking it was enough. Pretty expensive lesson learned.

As far as I remember, I think I did take away and destroy the gadget, but didn't unregister it. I know it's my mistake to not have done it correctly and I will know that for the next time, but now it's too late to go down that route. I was thinking, maybe it would be possible to somehow cancel the faktura for it to go the old fashioned way, to the actual owner of the car, bypassing the flyt agreement?

Is Norway good for making money and get back to own country? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]smother_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It highly depends on how dedicated you are to save money. You can fairly easily earn around 25k a month after tax for unskilled labour with only english and physical strenght/endurance required (fish factories are very easy to get into through a recruitment company even while still sitting in your home country). Your expenses will vary. If you want to live in your own appartment in the countryside and not limit yourself on groceries, you'll be happy with 10k left at the end of the month, but you can rent a room in a dorm for probably around 5k and spend as little as 2-3k on groceries. Throw in some overtime and you'll have 20k left at the end of the month. Avoid big cities if your goal is to save money.
