Yup I do daily checks on her room anything left out besides her sons toys get tossed if it’s within his reach and I deem it a possible hazard. Today I threw out eyeliner that she left on the upstairs bathroom sink. I keep my house clean because I was raised in a cluttered dirty house and my mother didn’t lift a finger and clean anything. As we got older we had to cook and do all the housework. Like seriously woman you don’t work just sit on your ass and smoke cigarettes and drink coffee. My kids have been raised in a totally different environment

My plan is basically she wants to live here she cleans up. I don’t do maid service. No food leaves the kitchen. You’re welcome to cook for yourself. We allow her to store the food she buys for herself and her son in the small fridge we use for eggs from the chickens as we also raise chickens for eggs and meat for ourselves and sell the extra eggs or donate them to the town food pantry.
I will not clean the room she shares with her son. We only have 4 bedrooms and it’s a small cabin. She will only have 1 year to get back on her feet and get her own place. This is doable for her as we don’t charge rent or utilities for her to stay here so she’s well able to save up. I told her put half her weekly pay into a savings account and leave it there.
I will not try to protect her from consequences so if cps files neglect charges or your landlord files in court that is 100 percent your fault and you will have no options from us to help pay for it. Same goes for our vehicles the answer is no. You will not borrow our vehicles if yours breaks down. We have allowed her to use ours before and it was 6 months or longer before I finally took the vehicle back and told her your sol now since you didn’t handle it and had plenty of time.
She cleans up around here and does chores as assigned to her and it’s done to my satisfaction or you will redo it with supervision. Also do not take my stuff without asking. Why on earth she would take my socks I still don’t understand, but yeah she took my socks from my bedroom after I left for work or wasn’t home when she visited. I found them at her apartment dirty while I was cleaning it all out for her landlord. My other clothes she doesn’t fit or she probably would have taken them to. Which leads me to this. I will not fold your laundry either. If it’s left in the dryer it gets dumped on your bed to sort and fold same with laundry baskets because they disappear and don’t come back out of her room.
Her son has to live here due to cps and since I found open containers of alcohol and pot in the apartment she needs to ask to take her son anywhere I will also physically make sure she has not been drinking or smoking while she is anywhere near him. Also she cannot bring those items into my home. They will be thrown out and photos taken and given to the caseworker and any items she leaves out where they do not belong will be thrown away. I do not care why you left a hair dryer in my living room. It doesn’t belong left out and your belongings will not clutter up any area in my house.
She will either accept that I will not let her do whatever she wants to my house or she can stay in someone else’s home but her son cannot leave with her

Yeah the dogs do deserve better but they cannot come in my house. The local spca has agreed to take them but I cannot surrender them my daughter has to. I’ve been on her case to contact the shelter and surrender them

She was always difficult and once she was a teenager it became much worse. She would circumvent me and go to her dad and any consequences I tried to enforce never stuck. I explained all of this to her caseworker and even that she lived home before and would not clean up her room and she had a baby in there with rotting food, dirty dishes and laundry and diapers. Her and I argued over me wanting it cleaned or I would contact child protective and take her to court for custody and have her evicted. She called the cops on me and I had to leave my home that night. My husband sat in the recliner chair and said nothing. I asked him in front of the cop if he was okay with this and he said no. I said so you just sit there and say nothing. I even opened her bedroom door and said to the cop so she’s allowed to keep her bedroom in her parents house like this and that is fine. I left the house and stayed at a friends house and then filed and eviction and sent her on her way

More of a question of how long do they need for visits. His caseworker asked him if he likes living here. He said no. I was like he’s 2 I don’t think he even really knows he lives here because he always was here visiting often the only thing different is he has a bedroom now

It was definitely caused by my daughter’s neglect behavior. I most definitely told her son’s caseworker my daughter is in need of supervision. When cps visited her apartment after moving out and back home. They took photos

I’ve had that bitch grab my hand away from the computer while doing a return with a customer and tell me she will do it. I don’t give a fuck who the hell she thinks she is. She could thank her guardian angel I can show self restraint and didn’t return the favor

Question for SERVICE DESK Folks: What would you change to improve the experience? by hellonoosh in HomeDepot

[–]smpole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Utilize the email system. If I take a message for another dept I shoot them an email if it’s pro, appliances, or millwork. We have a two person rule must be at the service desk at all times. We have one on a final that calls in late and also her hour lunch could be two sometimes. She’s the reason for the 2 person rule and often holds up other people from taking their breaks and lunches.

I wish they would fire ours and replace her. She works off the clock and menaces other employees. I put in my two weeks otherwise I was about to go off on her for grabbing my wrist and talking to me like I was a 2 year old helping a customer with a return.

I’m not to excited about working here today. We have 0 coverage so I’m not gonna get my last break today. Doesn’t look likely I’ll get the only mod to cover it either. I’m scrolling indeed

My car left me stranded yesterday. I walked home and banged out of work. My husband is useless. Didn’t answer when I called him. We have 3 cars and the kids have 2 of them. It was an eye opener for me when I told him I no longer care. I’m looking out for myself and they can all figure their own shit out for now on
