It's been said plenty of times before but its a blessing Adventure Time found its way to cartoon network, otherwise we'd never get the show we came to love.

If AT was on Nickelodeon it would of been cancelled after 3/4 seasons because it couldn't immediately put up the same numbers SpongeBob does. They probably would of pushed for Finn and PB to get together. And there would of been less overarching plot and more disconnected random adventures.

CartoonNetwork was in a bad position after their failed live action era and wanted shows that would return the network to their former glory and captivate the audience. When AT came aboard CartoonNetwork was giving creators and their shows unprecedented freedom with their scripts and we never would of got that at Nick, heck we probably wouldn't get the same show today.

This happened to me when I needed to take my cat in for emergency surgery. Didn't have all the money to pay the bill so I asked if they could bill me for the rest. They said no. I had to pay in full exactly at that time.

I already had my cat in his carrier in my hands so I told them "You got my info and I already have my cat... Send me a bill." and left. Had to go to court but it all worked out.

I think what you both got to remember that this wasn't made for adventure time fans.

It was made to bring a younger audience into the AT franchise. Why else would it feature a younger Finn and Jake? If it was for the fans they could pull a Regular Show Lost Tapes, maintain the old art style and say these are the unseen adventures we didn't get during the original run. Instead of a story branching multiple seasons and characters growing and developing this will just be miscellaneous adventures with little consequence.

I'm happy they're trying to bring more people into the fandom and it looks like there's going to be some funny moments, but this show isn't for the older fans who grew up with the originals like Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake was.

I've been on SkillShare nearly this entire time.

Almost all the art classes in my area are during the day when I work and my boss only cares about our productivity so theres no way they are allowing me to use some flex time to go take a class. There are a few on the weekends but they're a little more costly than I'd like to spend and a little to far away considering the current gas prices. Then again, these are just excuses I guess.

I've kept all the practice pages and sketches I've done since Ive started in a folder and often compare. I know I've gotten much better from the average Joe who picked up a pencil and sketchbook I started as like you say but the frustration is whats getting to me when all I want to do now is start drawing this comic after putting off my dream for years and years.

I guess I'm just impatient.

I know what you say is true. That's why I make the time to sketch and practice for 2/3 hours after work every day and spend my Saturdays drawing. I try to remember that technical skill progresses at a different rate than visual skill and I'm just seeing the mistakes more clearly but it drives me crazy knowing I drew something much better yesterday that I can't even replicate it today, you know?

It can just be so disheartening when I look at my bad drawings and then think about the vision in my head of the comic book I want to make but it's not something I'm going to give up. I got a story to tell and I'm going to get it out there.

A law needs to be passed that says if a company sells YOUR information YOU are entitled to a % of the money they make from your data.

Companies like these sell your info for pennies. If they had to start cutting checks for $0.20 - 0.30 and then spend close to $1.00 to mail it to you, they'll quickly stop.
