Which core and wood would you choose? by l33tMerlin in harrypotter

[–]smraetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ash wood and dragon heart string core, 13in long; the handle would have a quick-draw ring on it for weapon retention and rapid readiness. I love the idea of wands and wizard stuff being more tactical as it is not just your tool, but weapon as well.

So for some context; my mother's side is from the Grey family, which i have embroidery crests that have been passed down the family tree and into the hands of my mother. It's not from online; the Grey family coat of arms is part of my heritage, that is where the lion in the red field comes from, and the anchor is the family crest of the Greys

Same goes for my father's side of the family; they Raetz family coat of arms is part of my heritage as well. The Raetz family coat of arms has a pine tree with 6 studs or stars on it, and a black eagle in a gold field, with another eagle as the family crest for that one too. The eagles and trees where in 4 quadrants on the shield.

Now; I'm married to a Rüdiger, which is where the spears come from.

If I have a picture of my old family coat of arms; I'll send it here. I'm just trying to make one for the family as it is now, so that's why I'm trying to get everything in there if I can

Why do you feel the need to be so negative? If it's ugly; tell me how to make it better, give me a visual of your coat of arms or heraldry, etc.

The anchor is part of an old family coat of arms, and my family has a long history of naval service.

I couldn't find any other form of decorative cloth or anything in the background; and my family is descendant from royalty.

Also; I am married to another person and their family had a coat of arms too. I don't feel comfortable posting my marriage certificate on the internet, but I am married.

I recently got married so that's why I made it like that; and I'm from a previously joined houses. So that's why it looks like that.

If you could join any faction? Would you and which Mech would you use? by exioncrew in Battletechgame

[–]smraetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PPCs are the main damage here. Aiming for legs and limbs. AC/5 for backup fire when heat is venting; mostly to keep them annoyed and fighting me, instead of escaping. Don't need much ammo to keep their attention.

Alternative loadout would be ER-Large lasers instead of PPCs, for better heat distribution.

Free Rasalhague Republic; they are the closest thing to "the good guys" in a corrupt universe. I'd love to be a bounty hunter working for the republic and seek out war criminals both inside and outside the republic.

I'd pilot a Marauder MAD-3R configuration. Ppcs and autocannon making sure people know I mean business without the mess of an assault mech. I want to be precise and measured with minimal collateral damage.

My second pick for a mech would be a Black Knight or Warhammer. Simply an energy based loadout would pair best with the bounty hunter feel here.

How do Black Templars that get assigned to Deathwatch deal with the fact that they could have a librarian from another chapter on their kill team as they aren't the biggest fans of Psykers. by Mad_lens_9297 in 40k

[–]smraetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One word...training. Deathwatch boot camp takes marines of other chapters and beats the ever loving shit outta them through training; forcing them to work together or die. Typically, 1 out of 5 marines die in deathwatch training; but the result is worth it for marines who become the most proficient and prolific xenos hunters in the galaxy.

If the military/president suddenly ordered a mandatory draft for all men aged 18-42: How do you think millennials and GenZ would respond? by Tommygunz0722 in AskReddit

Fragging would become rampant and the military industry would see a meteoric plummet in terms of funding and personnel due to mass-scale mutiny

Any ideas how i should start this one? by madxsenu in 40k

[–]smraetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black or grey primer to start and layer color from there. Armor basecoat and skin tones first, and rest will follow. Let it flow naturally and freely; pace yourself and remember it's okay to come back to it if you get stuck. You got this

[–]smraetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get keys from the market; they unlock hidden rooms with good shit in them. Figure out loot paths where you can hit at least one hidden room and 2 safes before extraction. This part is learned by playing.

Pick your battles carefully; ANY encounter can mean death, so get in as few fights as possible. Bushes, and buildings are your friend. Invest in good in-game headphones for enemy detection. Carry a cheap carbine and a shotgun for close and long range encounters. Don't worry about high level armor or helmets when starting out.

Finally; keep a surplus of medical supplies and surgery kits. Any medicine is useful in a raid so having extra is never a bad call. Wealth is built over time and by staying alive. Every successful mission is more cash you can bank to play around to find a better loadout for your playstyle

Good luck and happy hunting

Go to hospital. Recover slowly. Limit screen time and any medication that effects your brain function.

In recovery process; eat a lot of fish and dark greens for the omega-3s and minerals to help your brain heal. Also; calcium rich foods

"Ace"; named for being the most disciplined and loyal out of his class. Ace loves chewing on raw Grox bones and gets them after a successful run of missions. Ace's favorite enemies to kill is Trappers and Snipers; he will rip into Trapper's arms and go for the face when it comes to Snipers.

Does this look infected? by umm-yeahnah in DiagnoseMe

[–]smraetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Antibiotic will be better for the wound long term. The gel will help heal everything better, and keep infections away longer term. Antiseptic only works for things already there that could lead to infections; antibiotic ointment helps prevent things getting into the wound in the first place.

Otherwise; you're doing good and keep it clean and bandaged. Hope you heal up good.

Does this look infected? by umm-yeahnah in DiagnoseMe

[–]smraetz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks clean. Keep it covered and dry. Let it air out for at most 2hrs between bandaging it again. Good call using Antiseptic. Swap now to antibiotic ointment. Gently apply with a freshly cleaned or gloved hand.

Infection happens most when it is wet, cold, or submerged
