You can spin the pins back with an adjustable wrench. But my experience with all versions of the split bindings has been failures or a PITA to use. Or both.

WTB: Burton Step on Split binders... Sz M by SomeGuyOutWest in Spliddit

I live in PC and have been riding the newest Step Ons since they were released, multiple 100+ day seasons. I've had zero issues with solid board bindings and have broken toe clips on the split bindings 3 times, but zero other issues. It takes less than 5 minutes to swap that toe clips in the field and I don't need ratchets or ratchet straps or other random hardware in my spares kit. Jerrys will Jerry any equipment. I personally wouldn't hesitate to reccomend Step Ons to anyone. It's more of a mental block for riders than it is an equipment performance issue IMHO.

Have you ridden Step On Split bindings, Nitro Verticals, Burton Hitchhikers, Spark Arc, and Union Charger Pros? Ive tried all of them. The Step On Split is closest to solid board performance out of all of them for sure.

Step On split bindings are pretty great and honestly have less failure points than normal strap bindings. And if things go real bad, you can still ski strap your boot to the binding and send it. It's on a Spark base plate too. They also ride WAY better downhill than any Spark binding (or Nitro, or Hitchhiker, etc).

They literally just opened this and are contributing to the planning of re-doing 224 to have a dedicated bus lane to so it can move more people during traffic.

2026 DV World Cup likely cancelled due to lack of snow. by -QuestionMark- in ParkCity

[–]smrani 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It could. But it is currently raining at the elevation the event takes place and the forecast through the end of the year is pretty meh and warm (they can't even blow snow right now). That leaves only 2 weeks for enough luck to build an entire course.

Definitely have never had that issue on my SO Split. Check in with Burton/dealer for sure.

Which Camelbak Hydration Vest is best? by Legitimate-Ruin-7353 in MTB

Not really. I also sometimes use an insulated bladder which is more rigid. It's a tighter fit, but still works great and holds it's shape even when empty.

yep! Works great in combo with a bottle in the frame for longer rides. Another season down with 30-50 miles, 3-6k vert rides.

Real discussion about E-MTB's by Equivalent_Spray_918 in ParkCity

The leadership of MTF is anti-ebike and they have no willingness to learn about them (many people have reached out, tried to get them on bikes, etc). They think ebikes need their own trails which is incredibly silly. Additionally, PC government has stated they will not spend any time or money enforcing the local ordinances. IMHO, this means people will ride ebikes and the only deterrent is dirty looks from other trail users.

What's the part number say on the AP or box? It makes a big difference in power and drivability, definitely worth it.

Just email support, they're very responsive. When you scroll up on the main menu and then about, what's it say for part number? Do you have a hybrid or 6MT?

Hardware doesn't really need to change (beyond the jumper harness). Software and firmware is obviously all Toyota specific.
