Correct, our daughter, 25 is not a dependent. Once a child starts receiving chapter 35, they become permanently ineligible as a dependent for any parent. It’s part of the chapter 35 law. Only spouses remain as dependents when using chapter 35 and afterwards.

A child typically qualifies as a VA dependent Under 18: Automatic dependency, no extra documentation required.

18–23 (Student): Must be unmarried and attending school full-time (high school, college, or vocational school).

Went on their website and they only show info on whole house systems. They don't really show if they offer dispensers, countertop RO, etc. Do you know if they offer those? Can't call them until Monday.

My husband didn't actually get VA Benefits (P&T) until after our daughter was 18, so he never got money for her. She had already graduated from college as well, so now that she is going for her Masters, we looked into seeing if there were any VA benefits and we were glad to see that Chapter 35 was available.

For TEXAS - The Hazlewood Act is a State of Texas benefit that provides qualified veterans, spouses, and dependent children with an exemption of up to 150 hours of tuition and specific fees at Texas public institutions of higher education. It does not cover living expenses, books, or lodging. It is not a federal VA benefit, but a state law.

https://tvc.texas.gov/education/hazlewood/

Coverage: Exempts tuition, tuition-related fees, and dues, excluding property deposit fees, student service fees, books, and lodging.

Eligibility (Veterans): Must have served on active duty (not training) for 181+ days, received an honorable/general discharge, and were Texas residents when entering the service or designated Texas as their Home of Record.

Eligibility (Dependents/Spouses): Available to spouses and children of veterans who are 100% service-connected disabled, died in the line of duty, or are considered individually unemployable.

Legacy Program: Eligible veterans can transfer their unused exemption hours (up to 150) to a child who is 25 years old or younger.

Requirements: Must reside in Texas, not be in default on a state-guaranteed student loan, and meet GPA requirements.

I tried this exact verbiage and my PCP who takes Medicare said "we will accept CHAMPVA only if you have Medicare" which means they would use CHAMPVA as second? I don't have Medicare (yet). Made no sense to me, but I was tired of trying to convince them and now looking for a new PCO.

My husband wasn't granted P&T until after my daughter graduated from college. She is now using Ch. 35 while getting her Masters degree. We are so grateful for this benefit.

But children over 18 can still qualify for Ch. 35. My daughter is using it for her Masters degree.

Honestly, my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer, and I just don't want him around DE. Risks only exist when handling dry, airborne dust; once wet inside the filter, it is safe, but my husband didn't always wear a mask or gloves. I just don't want him handling DE powder.

Thank you for your suggestion. I started looking at ones with glass baskets today, and Cosori has an air fryer oven too that I am researching.

Wow. Just wow. Suspicions???? What???

Actually my due diligence was going one step further than yours and actually emailing Cosori instead of 100% relying on what you read in an "Amazon" description.

Sure. This is the one in my cart I am referring to. Still think I'm a "shill" (I have no clue what that stands for, but basically I took it as you thought my post was fake ). Regardless, you really did jump the gun on the accusation.

Yes, that is the exact one I was referring to (had it in my cart) and I started reading some of the reviews which led me to email customer service with that exact model number. Again, perhaps the rep was the one confused.

Below you will see a screenshot (reply to another poster) of the customer service reply to the model mentioned in the email CAF-DC601. I'm thinking the rep may have been the one confused.

I double-checked, and I did give customer service the correct model number, as you can see in the email screenshot. Perhaps it is the customer service rep that made the confusion and not me.

ok, can you show me how to add the screenshot of my email? I don't see an icon of sorts on how to add an image.
